💫 MEET THE TEAM 💫

Meet Laura 🌟

Laura graduated with a First Class BSc (Hons) from Robert Gordon University in 2009. She began her career with NHS Tayside, completing a wide range of rotations including musculoskeletal (MSK), stroke rehabilitation, orthopaedics and community settings. Through her dedication and expertise, she progressed into a senior role specialising in falls prevention and service development.

Laura has continued to build on her clinical knowledge through a variety of postgraduate training, including Bobath, Postural Stability Instructor (PSI) qualifications, and more recently achieving AACP accreditation.

Laura is passionate about her role and feels incredibly fortunate to work in a profession where she can support people of all ages to recover, manage their conditions, and continue doing the activities they love 🫶🏼

Outside of work, Laura is a busy mum of three who loves making the most of family time. Whether it’s hiking, cycling, swimming, camping or paddle boarding along the beautiful Moray coast, she enjoys staying active and embracing the outdoors. 🥾🚴🏻‍♀️🏊🏼‍♀️🤩

💫 MEET THE TEAM 💫

Meet Fiona! ✨

Fiona is one of our Senior Physiotherapists here at Fusion Physiotherapy. She joined the team in 2019 and has worked in private practice for over 16 years. Previously, having worked in the NHS in the fields of Paediatrics, Elderly Rehabilitation, Stroke, Orthopaedics and general medicine along with out-patient musculoskeletal clinics.

Fiona graduated in 2002 with First Class BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University , Edinburgh. Since then she has undertaken lots of postgraduate courses, became an AACP registered acupuncturist in 2020, and has completed The Running Repairs course with Tom Goom and The Shoulder: Steps to Succes course with Jo Gibson.

Fiona is passionate about maintaining active lifestyles in everyone, no matter their age, fitness or medical history. She is a firm believer in ‘use it or lose it’. As a keen cyclist, skier, kayaker and whatever else she can squeeze into her day, she understands the physical challenges of staying active and being the best you can be. It’s all about having fun and enjoying whatever you do to stay active and then it doesn’t feel like just exercising anymore.

Outside of work, when family life allows, Fiona can be found on her “full suss” or “Fatty” bike in the woods, or bike packing with friends. She loves to travel, especially by ski in her beloved Norway where she goes every year for a week or two of blissful back country skiing. ⛷️ 🇳🇴

💥 PLYOMETRICS 💥

Why are plyometrics beneficial?

They are explosive exercises that train muscles to exert maximum force in short bursts… this helps to build power, speed and agility. They are a perfect addition to any strength and conditioning programme and hugely enhance athletic performance 🙌🏼

Other benefits include improving bone density (cyclists and swimmers we are looking at you 👀!)

This morning Andrew and Catherine filmed some of their session to give you an idea of what it might involve!
