Peacefully, at Stephen Hospital, Dufftown, Irene (née Simpson, formerly of Urquhart and Fraserburgh), aged 82 years, died after a long struggle bravely borne. Loving wife of William, much loved mother of Colin and Kevin, loving sister of Evelyn and the late Margaret and Jimmy, loving granny to Abigail, and a much loved aunt, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, cousin and friend to many.

Peacefully at home in Edinburgh with his wife, daughter and son by his side on Thursday 5th February 2026, aged 71. Retired Offshore Telecoms Engineer and former Radio Officer in the Merchant Navy. Loving son of Maureen and the late George Rhind of 37 Bogton Road, Forres. Loving husband to Clare and Dad to Lorna and Matthew. A brother to Alistair and Eileen, and a dear friend of many.

A service to celebrate John's life will take place in St Margaret's RC Church, Forres at 1200 on Monday 23rd February to which all friends and family are respectfully invited. Burial thereafter in Clovenside Cemetery followed by a gathering at The Carisbrooke Hotel in Forres to share music, memories and a dram or two. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to RNLI and MIRO (Moray Inshore Rescue Organisation).
