Helen, Pauline and family would like to express their sincere thanks to all relatives, friends, neighbours and work colleagues for the many kind expressions of sympathy received by way of cards, messages and flowers following the sad loss of James Dean.

Special thanks to the nurses at Linkwood Medical Practice and the staff of Ward 7, Dr Gray’s Hospital, for their care and kindness. Grateful thanks to Wendy Toner for her comforting service, to W.G. Catto Funeral Directors for their professional guidance and support, and to The Cuppa Café at Lhanbryde Village Hall for the lovely teas.

Finally, thanks to all who paid their last respects at the service and for the kind donations to The Monday Club, which amounted to £500

Peacefully at Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin, on Tuesday 10th March 2026, Kathleen (Kath), after a short illness. Beloved wife of Alister, dearly loved mum of Raymond and Alison, much loved mother in law to Kayren, and a cherished grandma to Sean and Eilidh. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Ward 7 at Dr Gray’s Hospital for the wonderful care of Kath and the support given to the family.

Funeral service to be held at W.G. Catto Funeral Home, Linkwood Road, Elgin, on Thursday 19th March at 11.30am, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Kath’s wish was for everyone to wear bright attire Family flowers only, please, but donations, if desired, may be given in aid of local animal charities.

💛 A Heartfelt Thank You 💛
Julie, Gemma, Aimee, Liam and the family would like to express their deepest thanks to everyone who reached out with love, cards, flowers and messages following the sad loss of Derek. Your kindness has meant so much.
Huge thanks to Wendy Toner, who truly captured Derek’s story so beautifully, and to Rev. Deon Oelofse for his uplifting service. The family were truly overwhelmed by all who attended to pay their respects.
Our grateful thanks also go to John and the team at W.G. Catto Funeral Directors for their care, compassion, and for bringing Derek home safely—making his final journey so fitting. Thanks as well to Room to Bloom for the beautiful floral tributes, and to the Laichmoray Hotel for the lovely refreshments.
Through your generosity, an amazing £760.40 was raised in Derek’s memory. This will be shared between SAMH and EMRC, just as Derek wished.

Peacefully at Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin, on Thursday 26th February 2026, Adolfo Guido Franchi, aged 87, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Violet Franchi. Much loved father of Nadia, Daniela and Marco. Dear grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to so many in Elgin and Italy.

Sincere thanks to all the carers, district nurses and the Moray Resource Centre for the kindness and respect shown to Adolfo.
He will be sorely missed.
