Our Access to Integrative Healthcare & Sports Therapy students were out & about in the community today visiting the Moray BALL Groups providing taster massage treatments to support wellbeing 💛

It was a fantastic opportunity for students to get hands-on experience, build confidence, and put their learning into practice 💆🏻‍♀️🙏🏼

Our Access to Integrative Healthcare & Sports Therapy (SCQF Level 6) course starts again in September 2026. This course is ideal if you are:
• Interested in health, wellbeing, complementary therapies or sports therapy
• A hands-on learner who wants real practical experience
• Curious about massage, bodywork, and how the body functions
• Looking for a career helping others improve their health and recovery

You’ll study a wide range of areas including complementary therapies, soft tissue and sports therapy, nutrition and wellbeing, clinical skills, resilience, and academic skills.

The course also offers clear progression routes into other courses including: BSc (hons) Integrative Healthcare, HNC Soft Tissue Therapy, and HND Sports Therapy programmes.

A brilliant day of learning and community engagement for our students at the BALL Group - showing real professionalism throughout. They all definitely earned their cuppa & biscuit ☕️

🎥 What made you choose your path?

When it comes to Integrative Healthcare and Complementary Therapies 🌿, there’s no single “aha” moment. For many of our graduates, it was a blend of life experience, curiosity, and a real desire to make a difference.

✨ Some were looking for a more meaningful career
✨ Others wanted to understand health in a more holistic way
✨ And for many, it just felt right

We caught up with some of our recent BSc (hons) Integrative Healthcare graduates to hear what inspired their journey.

As our Integrative Healthcare treatment clinics come to a close for this term, we just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported our students 💖

While our clinics have now finished, you can still enjoy treatments over in the Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy departments at UHI Moray - they’ll be running sessions until the end of May, so be sure to check them out and book in while you can! ✨

Our Integrative Healthcare student clinics will return later this year with our new 2026/27 students - we can’t wait to welcome a fresh group and offer more treatments. Stay tuned for updates and come along to support our next cohort!

As the academic year is drawing to a close, our BSc (Hons) Integrative Healthcare Year 1 students at UHI Moray have nearly completed their first year (with the exception of a few more exams to complete) and what a year it’s been.

They’ve built new skills, grown in confidence, and supported one another through the ups and downs of starting something new. It’s been great to see their progress and how much they’ve developed over such a short time 🌿

Thank you to everyone who has been part of their journey so far, your support in our student treatment clinics really does make a difference 🙌 Some of our students will be finishing at this stage and moving on with their Year 1 qualifications, while many of these familiar faces will be continuing on to Year 2 - so stay tuned for the 2026/27 treatment clinics 💛

🌿 Ever thought about learning aromatherapy?

If you love essential oils - or you’re curious about what they can actually do - this could be your thing. It’s not just about nice smells, it’s about understanding how they support wellbeing and holistic health.

On our BSc (hons) Integrative Healthcare degree here at UHI Moray, you’ll get hands-on experience with therapies like aromatherapy while building real, practical skills.

Maybe you are already qualified in therapies, beauty therapy, sports therapy, or another similar field, perhaps you’ve just left school or even looking at changing career - this course is delivered with a mix of online and face-to-face learning (and is fully online in years 3 & 4), making it easier for you to fit study around your life 👍

You can even gain recognised qualifications along the way, with exit points available at each year of study, so no need to commit to all four years.

Choose Complementary Therapies

The complementary therapies industry – covering practices like massage, aromatherapy and lifestyle advice – is growing, finding significant common ground with mainstream healthcare. Our department offers a range of courses, from access to degree level preparing students for work in the industry.

The BSc (Hons) Integrative Healthcare is the only degree of its kind offered in Scotland, and allows students to study around work and other commitments in years 3 and 4. All courses include an element of practical work, and our students offer complementary therapies to the paying public during term time.
