At Move4ward rehabilitation is as much about connection as it is about movement.

Here’s Hamish and Mike—both stroke survivors—putting in the work together boxing, pushing each other in a way only peers can.

That shared experience builds trust, motivation, and an understanding that you’re not facing this alone.

Boxing itself is a great proven neuro rehab tool—challenging balance, coordination, and cross-body movement patterns while driving neuroplasticity through rhythm, reaction, and repetition.

It’s focused & functional —proving that recovery doesn’t have to be passive, it can be strong, social, and seriously fun… 🤣🤣

Deirdre has SP MS and is a full time power chair user - But … she is aiming to walk 500M independently in the month of April, using a walker and an FES (functional electrical stimulator)

She is raising funds to help develop a simple wireless FES. So she (and others), can set this up themselves and walk both at home and out and about - Not just in a clinic setting.

If you would like to help this amazing lady there’s a link in the comments - Thanks you 🥰

We underestimate patients and wonder why outcomes plateau. Push them like they’re capable, not like they’re fragile …

8 years of Move4ward 💙 This was our very first post …. ❤️

From day one, our mission has been simple — help people move better, recover stronger, and live fuller lives.

In that time, we’ve:
✨ Supported over 5,000 patients on their journey
✨ Opened 2 new clinics
✨ Built an incredible team of 8 expert practitioners
✨ Mentored 22 future professionals
✨ Won major awards
✨ Patented 3 medical innovations and launched 2 companies to bring them to life
✨ Featured on The One Show, BBC News & BBC Radio (and even turned down Dragons’ Den!)
✨ Travelled the world to learn, grow, and bring the very best back to our patients
✨ Invested in cutting-edge technology to keep raising the bar in rehab

It hasn’t always been easy — there have been long days, sleepless nights, and plenty of emotional moments along the way.

But truthfully? We wouldn’t change a thing.

We’re just getting started — and we’ll continue to grow, innovate, and deliver specialist care to everyone who needs it.

Thank you to every patient, supporter, and team member who’s been part of the journey so far 🙌

Something powerful is coming to Move4ward in April …

We’ve invested in advanced vibration therapy to support those living with neurological conditions and dementia.

Designed specifically for medical & rehab facilities, the machine and its programmes focus on neuro health and pain relief.

Peer reviewed research shows it can help improve strength, balance, mobility—and stimulate brain function.

For our patients, that means more confidence, more independence, and more moments that matter.

We can’t wait to share this with you 💙

Huge thanks to Mike Petrie who donated £1000 of his fundraising Country Music Bonanza to Move4ward. And James Phimster who raised £200 making & selling his deep sea fishing weights.

This will go towards our new overhead track support system designed to help people move with greater confidence and safety.

Whether you’re recovering from a Stroke, living with MS, or managing FND, this technology will allow you to walk, train, and push your limits in a controlled, supportive environment.

Stay tuned—this could be a game changer for your rehab journey…😱🎉

Every week we see meaningful progress from Ellen, as we follow her rehabilitation journey.

Now achieving independent steps with both legs, with less support and no orthotics or electrical stimulation 🎉🎉

Today was a good day … It’s 9.5 years since Ally last ran 😱 Due to a combination of a Spinal Cord Injury, a fractured fibula and an FND Diagnosis

We first saw Ally in 2019 and have worked with her since the end of 2023 when she was barely able to walk.

The AlterG Anti-Gravity Systems Treadmill and our very own Flex4ward by Propelus helps to initiate her stride, flex her hips and knees and lift her feet. To progress we will gradually add more bodyweight, removing her reliance on the machine.

Fabulous work Ally …. 🎉🎉
