A heartfelt message to Siddal RL

Over the last 12 years I have dedicated my time, energy and experience to the first team, open age and all junior players. Helping to bring through junior players with the medical support they’ve needed and developing essential pathways to protect all players in this brutal and magnificent sport of ours. 💪🏼

I’ve experienced some huge highs, and with that came some heartbreaking moments. But all the time I have conducted myself professionally and with an unwavering duty to protect every player to the best of my ability. I am grateful, blessed and humbled to have shared these experiences with true gentlemen 🙏🏼

It’s time for me to take on new challenges in my life now, and although I’ll still be around coaching our and supporting from the sidelines, I will no longer be available for match day and injury assessments 😞

Best wishes to my successor, who will get my support as much as they need 🙌🏼

I have loved being part of the process, and will continue with my unwavering love for our exceptional club 💙🤍🏉

This year’s design is a classy look that proudly features the colours of the Canberra Raiders. The choice of colours is a special nod to two of our former juniors, 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐲 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐬, who both progressed through our club before going on to represent the Raiders at the professional level.

Seeing players develop within our club and progress to the professional game is something everyone involved takes great pride in. Matty and Morgan both spent important years in our junior system, and their journeys are a brilliant example of what can be achieved through hard work, dedication, and the support of a strong community club.

By incorporating the Raiders colours into our 2026 away kit, we celebrate their achievements and highlight the pathway that exists from grassroots rugby to the professional stage. It’s a reminder to our young players that big opportunities can start right here.

Once a part of the club, always a part of the club, both Morgan and Matty kindly offered to model the shirts for us this week.

We can’t wait to see our teams wearing the new away shirt throughout the 2026 season!!
