Great Sutton Medical Centre has changed how patients contact the practice.
This new approach should make access simpler, with no need to queue on the phone at 8am.
Patients submit a short request online, which is reviewed on the day by a clinician, with follow-up based on what’s most appropriate.
Importantly, support is still available for anyone who can’t use online services — the reception team will continue to help by phone or in person, so everyone is treated fairly.
It’s encouraging to see steps being taken to improve access for patients while easing pressure on staff.
