Ever cut calories, only to feel more stuck?
Your body isn’t working against you, it’s protecting you.
When intake drops too low, the body shifts into conservation mode: slowing metabolic output, lowering thyroid signaling, burning less energy, and hanging onto more.
Low minerals and unstable blood sugar only add more stress to the system, increasing cortisol and encouraging fat storage (especially around the midsection).
This isn’t a discipline problem.
It’s biology doing its job.
The good news is that when you consistently nourish your body, the metabolism can speed up. Digestion improves, energy rises, the nervous system feels safer, and body composition can shift more naturally.
If you’ve been eating less and feeling more frustrated, it might be a sign your body needs more support and nourishment, not less.
Your body needs to feel safe enough to burn fat, instead of store it.
