Today we will be joining the world in paying our respects to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

For many of us, particularly our residents, HM Queen Elizabeth II was a constant figure in our lives and a shining example of grace, dignity and decorum. Together, we thank her for her incredible service and dedication to this country.

Our teams will be working hard to enable our residents to participate in today’s events and will be supporting them through this extremely sad moment in history. Our thoughts remain with the Royal Family at this difficult time.

The staff and residents of Whitby House are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth. For all of us, Her Majesty was the embodiment of what made the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth so great; dignity, public duty, and self-sacrifice. Our thoughts are with the Royal family.

Yesterday we remembered those who had lost their lives in the service of their country with a 2-minute silence.

Thanks to our incredibly talented residents, Whitby House has a beautiful Remembrance Day display this year!
