Happy New Year. Today Poppy was the 1st of 2026 to donate a Bleed Control Bag to Blades Down CIC . So far she in just over a year she has donated 11 bag. Her aim is the donate another two in the next 3 weeks to make is 13 as she will be 13 on the 25th of January.

School finished for 2 weeks and the sigh of relief from Pops and the smiles at the thought of no school, no pressure and no feeling anxious before and after school is beautiful to see. We hope everyone has an amazing Christmas and a happy healthy New Year. 🫶

Poppy has always been a master of masking things, and pain is just one of them. Only those who she knows truly understand her and dont judge knows when she is hiding pain. Dont judge a book by its cover. Chronic pain has no timeline, it can come on as sudden as it eases but most of the time people with chronic pain just learn to live in some constant pain that it becomes the norm.

The last of Poppys December giving. On Friday Poppy handed over her 10th bleed control bag for Blades Down CIC to Upton-by-Chester High School . She was joined by Lee Holmes who explained how Blades down and Gloves not Gangs help the community. Each bleed control bag can add valuable life saving time in an incident where a patient is bleeding out. Each kit costs around £70 VAT inc, if anyone wants to help her raise more for this cause please drop us a message.

December is about giving for Poppy. Yesterday Pops handed over 2 brand new tablets to the children's ward at Countess Of Chester Hospital . Although she isn't doing her annual toy appeal she still wanted to help the ward and the amazing staff and knows how important the tablets are for distraction and entertainment to so many 🎄🎁❤️

We celebrate the small wins as much as the big wins. Poppy really struggles with school, especially Mondays, but the past two Mondays she has managed full days. It may not be a big achievement to some but for me I couldn't be prouder. It takes alot to overcome anxiety but she does it everyday with a smile ❤️
