A new update about car park 1 from Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Following the fire in Car Park 1 over the weekend, teams continue to work to support patients, staff and visitors accessing services on site. We are working closely with NCP, who operate the car park, and with Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service.

If you have a car in Car Park 1:

🔵 Car Park 1 remains closed. NCP are beginning to contact vehicle owners to allow cars to be retrieved in a staged and controlled way. Please do not come to the car park unless you have been contacted or advised to do so by NCP.

🔵 If you have not already shared your details with NCP or CUH, please call 0345 050 7080 to register with the NCP team. NCP can also confirm whether a vehicle is currently unable to be moved as a result of the fire.

🔵 For queries about refunds or insurance, contact the NCP Customer Service Desk on 0345 050 7080 or via https://ncp.co.uk/help-centre/contact-us

We will continue to work closely with NCP to understand the timeframe over when the car park will re-open.

If you are coming onto the Cambridge Biomedical Campus this week:

🔵If you have an appointment or are visiting, please use the Trumpington or Babraham Road Park & Ride where possible. Two additional Stagecoach buses are running from Trumpington Park & Ride to increase service frequency.

🔵 Car Parks 2 and 6 (opposite the bus station near the roundabout with the flagpole) will be prioritised for patients and visitors.

🔵 If needed, the CUH courtesy bus, which operates around the CUH and Royal Papworth Hospital sites, can take you to hospital entrances. You can call the bus on 01223 388243.

Please note that parking on site is limited and spaces cannot be guaranteed.

We know this is a difficult and disruptive situation, particularly at this time of year, and we thank you for your patience and understanding.

It's five years today since we delivered the first COVID-19 GP vaccinations in Soham! Whilst the number of people eligible this winter has reduced, we've still delivered a massive 73,000 COVID-19 vaccinations this winter so far. Thank you to everyone who was part of it in 2020, all the way through to today.

Cambridgeshire’s first patients received Covid vaccinations at GP surgeries today. Dr Anthony Gunstone from Staploe Medical Centre talked to ITV Anglia about the roll out of Covid-19 vaccinations from GP practices.

When you need help, A&E might seem like the obvious choice. But there are many quick and easy ways to get NHS help for non-emergencies.

Your local pharmacist is trained to manage minor health issues and can offer some prescription medicines for 7 common conditions – including sore throats, sinusitis and UTIs.

Get the right care, in the right place, at the right time – and help free-up emergency services for those who need them most this winter.
