Last week, we gathered for our Wear a Hat Day coffee morning in support of Brain Tumour Research. We enjoyed delicious cakes and spent the morning together, raising awareness and funds for an incredible cause.☺️

We would like to say a huge thank you to Peggy for the wonderful art sessions she has run at The Orchards for just over a year now. They have been so much fun, and the artwork created has been truly beautiful. The confidence of the residents who took part has grown so much, and it’s been lovely to see how much they enjoy getting creative.💚

✨ Holi came to us a little late this year, but it was worth the wait! ✨
On Saturday we had the joy of welcoming the Cambridge University Bollywood dancers for our belated Holi celebrations. The energy and music were absolutely magical, and our residents watched in complete awe.

A huge thank you to the dancers for bringing so much joy and vibrancy to our home — you made the day truly special. 🌸💛

What a wonderful day we had yesterday at our Easter party. We spent the afternoon dancing and singing along with the fantastic Lissie Allsopp, who brought so much energy and joy to the room. Our raffle, tombola, cake stall, and craft stall were all a great success, and we loved tucking into the delicious cakes baked by our amazing kitchen team — they truly outdid themselves.🧁

A huge thank‑you to our wonderful staff and volunteers who made the day possible and so special. And an extra thank‑you to Zoe and Jen, our brilliant receptionists, for all their help with raffle sales and preparations.💚

Lastly, thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day so memorable — from our residents and relatives to friends, families from the Isle of Ely School, and of course our wonderful therapy dogs and their owners, Angela and Carol.🥰

What a wonderful time we had at our Irish afternoon! We were joined by our very own “leprechauns” — Vicky and Winnie — complete with delightfully terrible Irish accents.🤣

Everyone enjoyed a fun and interesting quiz, followed by a sing‑along to favourites such as Danny Boy and Molly Malone. We finished the afternoon with a choice of Baileys or Guinness, making it the perfect end to a cheerful celebration for St Patrick's Day.🇮🇪
