Forest Froggies

🌱 Forest Froggies will be back from Friday the 17th of April to the 22nd of May. The sessions run from 1.30-2.30pm and are £5 per child. £10 for families with two or more children.

🌱 Come and join us as we notice the changing seasons, celebrate spring and enjoy time well spent together in the woods. 💚🌿🐸

🌱 What a difference a week makes! The hawthorn and apple blossom is in bloom and even the oak and ash are starting to be in leaf.
🌱We sang to the fairies, heard a story in the den and explored a range of textures in the tuff tray. There was a request to play with water. The old oak leaves made great little fairy boats. We’ll be giving further opportunity to play with water next week. So do bring a spare set of clothes. 😜 💚🌿🐸

What a fabulous family session we had yesterday! We got creative with loose parts to
make: beautiful nature pictures; a medley of items out of wool and lollipop sticks, including butterflies, scissors and a signal box and an incredible den with an ornamental garden! It was so lovely to welcome former Forest Froggies and share time together in the woods. We’ll be back next Friday as usual. Hope to see you then. 💚🌿🐸

🌱 We brought a little cheer into the our day by making Easter bonnets together, singing with our rhythm sticks and enjoying each other’s company.🐣🌷

💐 💛🌱A random act of kindness 💐💛🌱

🌱Today, we celebrated the spring equinox, and the returning of the light, with a sensory retelling of ‘Wow said the owl’. 🦉 🌈 Exploring different colours, textures and sounds… I particularly enjoyed how we made a rainbow together by shaking our rain-sticks and holding up the yellow fabric for the sun. We also sang with our rhythm sticks to welcome in spring and the colours it’ll bring.

🌱 The little ones enjoyed finding natural treasures and going on a ladybird hunt. We counted so many! 🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞

🌱 We also noticed and felt the smooth, new leaves of the hawthorn and the soft, furry leaves of the apple tree. 🌳 🍎 🍃

🌱 The sun came out to join us in the woods today as we painted with our fingers, moss and leaves. There might even be some Mother’s Day cards winging their way to you.

🌱 These two little ones know their own minds and clearly communicate what they do and don’t want to do.

🌱 It felt good to be back in the woods today and to share time together. Love to those who could not be with us.

🌱 We noticed ladybirds, deer prints, birdsong, mushrooms 🍄‍🟫…

🌱 We made bees 🐝 to hang in the fairy kingdom in honour of our beautiful friend, Bailey Bee.

🌱 A little one asked to decorate stones - please let me know if there’s something you or your little one are interested in doing in future sessions. 💚🌿🐸
