🛠️ Beauty from chaos!

We're not just renovating — we're reimagining what a therapy space can feel like 💭

This isn’t an off-the-shelf clinic. We’re shaping every wall, room and corner to reflect what we believe in:
🧒 Child-led spaces
🎨 Calming, creative environments
🤝 Thoughtful design for families and therapists alike

Because when a space is built for purpose, it makes all the difference in how children feel, learn and grow.

We can’t wait to show you more soon… 👀

🧠 Big feelings, changing seasons, new experiences…

For children, change can be confusing — even when it seems small to us.

Starting a new school.
Moving house.
A parent returning to work.
Even just saying goodbye at drop-off.

These little moments can bring big feelings — and many children don’t yet have the words to explain what’s going on inside 💛

That’s where child psychotherapy can help.

Through gentle, play-based sessions grounded in trust and emotional safety, our art psychotherapist supports children to:

🧠 Process change and uncertainty
🎨 Express emotions in a way that feels safe and natural — no pressure to “talk it out”
💬 Build emotional literacy and resilience
🤝 Feel more secure, confident, and connected

Change is part of life — but learning to manage it?
That’s something we can support together.

🌧️ Rainy days = the perfect chance to grow little voices indoors!

Wet weather may be coming, but there’s plenty of communication magic to be found inside 🧠💬

Here are a few simple, speech-boosting activities for a rainy day at home:

☔ Window watching – “Drip drop!” “Big splash!” “It’s windy!”
📦 Build a rainy day den – narrate as you build: “Blanket on top,” “Push the chair,” “Hide inside!”
🎨 Puddle-themed art – paint splats or raindrops and talk about colours, sizes, and actions
🧸 Pretend play – get out dolls or animals and act out getting caught in the rain (“Quick! Run!” “Let’s get dry.”)

Talking during play helps your child:
🧠 Learn new words
🗣️ Understand action and emotion words
❤️ Build confidence in their voice

Rainy days don’t have to be quiet ones ☔💛

🎨 Art that opens up feelings. Support that makes children feel safe.

We recently welcomed two little ones to a taster session with Victoria, our talented art therapist — and the feedback says it all 💛

In art therapy, it’s not about creating a perfect picture. It’s about creating a space where children feel calm, heard and free to express whatever’s on their mind. And Victoria does just that 🖌️🌈

If your child finds it tricky to talk about their feelings, art therapy might be a gentle, creative way to help them open up.

🍂 New season, new words, new opportunities

As the leaves start to fall and the air turns crisp, autumn brings a fresh season of discovery — and with it, so many ways to grow your child’s language.

You don’t need flashcards, just everyday moments like:
👉 Crunching leaves: “Crunch! Big leaf! Yellow!”
👉 Getting dressed: “Coat on. Zip up!”
👉 Talking about the weather: “Windy today!" or “Look! It’s raining!”
👉 Exploring nature together: “Wow... A conker!” “Can you find something red?”

Real words in real-life moments help your child:
🧠 Learn vocabulary
👂 Understand routines
🗣️ Build early sentences
❤️ Connect with you through conversation

✨ So as the seasons change, let’s slow down, talk more and enjoy those little moments that grow big communication skills.

🥄 Feeding challenges? You're not alone — and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

Some children find feeding tricky; whether it's refusing certain textures, gagging on foods, struggling with chewing, or finding mealtimes overwhelming... That’s where we come in.

At Two Can Talk, our specialist feeding team includes:
🗣️ Speech and language therapists
✋ Occupational therapists
🧠 Professionals trained in sensory and motor-based feeding difficulties

Together, we support your child to:
👉 Build confidence around food by exploring new textures, smells and flavours
👉 Improve oral motor skills
👉 Reduce stress at mealtimes — for them and for you

Feeding is about more than nutrition — it’s about comfort, safety, and connection ❤️

And every child deserves to enjoy those moments.

💡 If you have concerns about your child’s feeding, even if they seem “mild” — we’re here to help.

💛 What’s one thing your child can do now… that they couldn’t six months ago?

Maybe it’s saying a new word. Maybe it’s using a sound or gesture to let you know what they want. Maybe it’s simply making more eye contact… or moving along to their favourite song 🎶🧠

Communication isn’t just about words — it’s about connection.

And every small step is worth celebrating 💬🌱

👇 Share a moment that made you stop and smile. Let’s cheer each other on — no matter where your child is on their journey.

❌ “Let’s just wait and see…” — why that might not *always* be the best plan.

It’s natural to hope your child will “catch up” on their own — and sometimes they do. But when it comes to speech and language development, research shows that the earlier the therapy, the more effective it can be.

We understand how hard it can be for the parent who is comparing their child to peers and feeling like something is a little 'off'.

Here’s why acting early matters:
💡 The early years are key for brain development. Between ages 0–5, your child’s brain is making connections faster than at any other time in life. It’s the best time to support communication skills.
📉 Delays don’t always resolve on their own. Some children do just need time — but others need targeted help to avoid falling further behind in school, friendships, and confidence.
🎯 Support can start small. Early intervention doesn’t mean jumping into therapy straight away. It might be a few helpful strategies, a quick assessment, or reassurance that your child’s on track.

✨ You don’t need to wait for a diagnosis to ask for help.
If you're unsure, you're not overreacting — you're advocating ❤️
