Wet weather may be coming, but there’s plenty of communication magic to be found inside 🧠💬

Here are a few simple, speech-boosting activities for a rainy day at home:

☔ Window watching – “Drip drop!” “Big splash!” “It’s windy!”
📦 Build a rainy day den – narrate as you build: “Blanket on top,” “Push the chair,” “Hide inside!”
🎨 Puddle-themed art – paint splats or raindrops and talk about colours, sizes, and actions
🧸 Pretend play – get out dolls or animals and act out getting caught in the rain (“Quick! Run!” “Let’s get dry.”)

Talking during play helps your child:
🧠 Learn new words
🗣️ Understand action and emotion words
❤️ Build confidence in their voice

From a business that started with just a handful of therapists (and an ambitious Mags!) to a full multi-disciplinary service, it’s a joy to see so many passionate, kind and dedicated professionals in one room, working together to support our children and families.
