Healing.
Healing is just like an onion as most of you may know,
You heal the surface and think you are done, then deeper and deeper you have to go.
We do not know how big our onion is when on this healing journey we start,
It's size is a reflection of how much hurt we need to release and heal from the heart.
When stuff comes up for us to heal, we may feel it as a trigger of emotions or a thought which just leads the way,
We may deal with it and think it is done, but our hearts may still have something to say.
But then like a cork held down in water, it escapes and surfaces again to the top, another level of this issue needs to be released and healed, it has shown you where and marked the spot.
Once more you look deep inside yourself to see why this has again raised for you,
You figure it out and then see the reason, and feel the pain of its truth.
You feel the gripping of your heart as it then starts to contract,
The feeling then flows up into your throat, and then your eyes start to react.
The tears start to flow from your eyes, coming slowly at first,
Then as the feelings increase they come in waves or come in fits and like a dam has just burst.
As the feelings intensify and the hurt erupts from deep within the heart,
The nose wants to join in too, but the eyes have had a head start!
With every tear that flows you know it is a drop of pain the heart has let go,
Cleansing your mind and body too so that calm and peace can follow.
When the tears flow no more you know you have done the work needed at this time,
Writing down what you have felt and learnt will also help heal your mind.
To ensure we are not overwhelmed with hurt and pain in one go, this is how our self-healing needs to be,
But when we have put the work in, released the pain stored from within, then we are setting ourselves and our hearts free.
This is our journey of awakening and self-discovery lighting us up more each time this work is done,
Taking us nearer to becoming our authentic selves, and how we were just as life had begun.
Listen to all those negatives thoughts or hurt feelings you may sometimes feel,
When you talk to them and release through your heart, this is how you will heal.
