Know anyone like this? Almost 1 in 4 people living in the UK will experience some form of mental health. Of those 96% are unlikely to talk about it. If this was someone you love, what can you do to help? For me living with depression is a daily choice between fighting really hard to be like everyone else or slipping into a silent oblivion. After years of counselling, CBT, pills, and anything I could think of to help, I found the most simplest and profound support was gratitude. When I got a friend to help me practice, I felt so much better. Not everyone has someone they love helping. So this thought led to me writing a book in the hope of helping many more people.
