Today we had a wonderful time decorating and carving pumpkins at Woodbury Manor! Everyone got involved, and it was lovely to see so many smiles and creative ideas come to life. The room was full of laughter and conversation as we worked together, and the finished pumpkins look fantastic on display. It was a fun, festive activity that really brought everyone together and got us all into the autumn spirit. 🎨🎃

Our residents and team enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of festivities, including a delicious spread of Indian sweets and snacks. The home was beautifully decorated with diyas and colourful lights, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere for everyone.

Pub Lunch Outing Report

The residents enjoyed a lovely outing to the local pub for lunch. Everyone had a wonderful time chatting, laughing, and sharing stories over a delicious meal. The relaxed atmosphere made for a lovely afternoon, and it was great to see everyone enjoying each other’s company outside the home. The outing was filled with smiles and good spirits all around!

This week at Woodbury Manor Care Home has been filled with warmth, laughter, and special moments. We came together to celebrate a resident’s birthday, complete with a delicious cake.

Our arts and crafts sessions were a real highlight too — residents enjoyed getting creative with autumn-themed projects that brightened up our lounge with colour and joy. To end the week, we were delighted to welcome a visit from the Church of England, which led a lovely service filled with reflection, comfort, and community spirit. It’s been a truly heartwarming week, reminding us how wonderful it is to share these moments together.

Spanish Themed Day 🌶️💃

We had a fantastic Spanish themed day at the care home! In the morning, residents helped make a delicious paella — the smell of saffron and spices filled the air and everyone enjoyed getting stuck in.

In the afternoon, the fun continued with a lively Spanish celebration. Staff and residents dressed up in colourful costumes and enjoyed a brilliant dance performance. There was lots of laughter as everyone had a go at some flamenco moves!

It was a wonderful day full of flavour, music, and smiles all around. 🎶🇪🇸

Welcome to Woodbury Manor

Woodbury Manor was acquired by Scimitar Care Hotels group in 2010. Formerly known as Clay Hill House, the original building was built in 1853 and was known as Woodbury Manor.

Over time and with various ownerships, Woodbury Manor was converted to a hospital, when it became known as Clay Hill House, and then to a home for the elderly.

Scimitar's purchase of the property in 2010 and subsequent renovation has sought to restore the house back to its Victorian grandeur, and with this a return to its original and historic name - Woodbury Manor.

The Care Hotel is situated two miles from Enfield town centre and has four acres of mature gardens, with numerous fine specimens of Cedar, Fir and Oak trees. Woodbury Manor has fifty nine bedrooms which are situated over two floors, all rooms having en-suite facilities. It is divided into three separate wings, each having its own lounge or communal seating area. Each wing has access to, and views over, the extensive and beautiful grounds that all residents are free to enjoy at their leisure.
