Wow, Mind Over Body has come along way since the photos below. I honestly can’t believe the pictures below are Mind Over Body over 8 years ago before I started the process of turning this space into my first gym. Who would have thought, 8 years on I would be in my new gym and the business has gone from strength to strength over the years. September 12th was 8 years since I launched and it’s been an amazing journey. It’s incredible to see how far the business has come in that time!!! It’s taken a huge amount of time, long hours, determination and strength but I am proud of what I have achieved so far. I’m just a girl who decided to go for it 😊 I love how much my clients are talking about how good exercise is making them feel. It’s an amazing feeling when clients come to me saying how brilliant they feel for doing exercise and the positive impacts it is having on their physical and mental health. Exercise is also one of the most effective ways to improve your mental health. Regular exercise can have a profoundly positive impact on depression, anxiety, and more. It also relieves stress, improves memory, helps you sleep better, and boosts overall mood. Exercise improves mobility and strength. Keeping the body strong is extremely important and exercise is the best way to keep mobile and strong. Even if it means going on a gentle, social walk. Mind Over Body was 8 in September and I will always be grateful for the growth and progression Mind Over Body has achieved in that time. I have been in the industry for 14 years now and I have learnt so much in that time through my own physical and mental health experiences and courses I have been on. Personal Training has been my passion for years and the benefits it has can help so many people in so many walks of life. I am currently working with a number of clients with neurological illnesses. I have been working with two different clinics who refer rehabilitation patients to me but through word of mouth I have also gained many more. To see the benefits Personal Training has had on all my clients, makes me proud to do the job that I do. I am currently working with three clients who have multiple sclerosis and four clients who have suffered Ischemic stroke, they are all at different stages of their rehabilitation but the progress is extremely noticeable to themselves and their families. After a stroke, many patients need to relearn how to perform activities of daily living through speech, cognitive, and physical therapy. The goal of working with myself is to increase the level of independent function and to improve coordination and balance. Most importantly, working both sides of the body to make sure the strongest side remains strong. I am finding the exercise is helping to improve my clients’s gait, balance, flexibility, grip strength and over all coordination. I am in Mind Over Body’s 8th year and I will be continuing to learn and support all my clients on their individual journeys. Just a very polite reminder about my cancellation policy. The last couple of weeks I have lost hours of work through less than 24 hours cancellation. My cancellation policy has always been set and signed by all and although I appreciate unanticipated events happen, I also can’t run my business based on cancellations. I couldn’t be any prouder. When Ivor first came to me after suffering from a stroke he had been told he would never walk again and if he did he would always need an aid. After months of determination, Ivor can walk without an aid. I am so unbelievably proud of him and all he is achieving. We have worked so hard together and I’m so excited to see what’s next for Ivor. I absolutely love the amount of exercise and sport my nephew does on a weekly basis also whilst having so much fun with his friends. Teaching children about health and fitness is so important to me. Mind Over Body is all about positivity around exercise and our mental health.
