People start the new year to get back into fitness and weight management, and thats fantastic ๐Ÿ‘ but where does the discipline come from the motivation, all from our mindset
involving brain processes and neurotransmitters like dopamine, but they're not fixed traits; they're generated through action, habit-building, and neural pathways, with discipline often sparking motivation by creating momentum and positive feedback loops. Motivation starts the spark (the "want to"), while discipline is the consistent action (the "will do") that builds habits and keeps you going even when motivation fades.

Yoga helps by building mental resilience through breath control holding challenging poses, training your brain to stay calm under pressure and overcome urges, while also creating mental clarity, focus, and self-compassion that make sticking to goals easier and more rewarding. It rewires the brain for better executive function, fostering a conscious, designed life through consistent, self-imposed commitment

So combine your fitness and weight management goals not only by going to the gym but by training your mind to help you stay focused motivated and creating a happier healthier you through the practice of yoga

Yoga is not just for the physical body, strength flexibility, yes it is a by product that will improve these things,but if you want something just for building strength toning the body incorporate other forms of physical activities, yoga is not "in my own personal opinion" the best choice to simply just focus on physical appearance, although I am not saying it won't help it will and it does.
Yoga is for the mind, mental health, spirituality, self development self acceptance self healing โœจ๏ธ

The real essence of yoga is to help heal our minds from trauma stress low moods, the meaning of yoga now has moderated, more emphasis on the physical body appearance and being able to do splits or back bends, but as a true yogi my job is to keep the real essence of yoga to help people heal, to learn to cope with life's challenges, by doing this through mindful movement and breath control

So if you want to improve not only your physical body but to improve your mindset if you are someone who needs some down time relaxation or some gentle distraction from your worries this is for you

For me "personally" the one benefit of yoga that no other form of physical activity could ever provide is the connection to self awareness self acceptance and self love because yoga isn't just movements or that burst of endorphin rush, it's a mindfulness practice..

Yoga can give you the physical workout you may want, but go deeper and you'll realize it's so much more. The practice of yoga is about creating a connection, to ourselves, to our bodies, to our minds, to our lives.
