For me "personally" the one benefit of yoga that no other form of physical activity could ever provide is the connection to self awareness self acceptance and self love because yoga isn't just movements or that burst of endorphin rush, it's a mindfulness practice..

Yoga can give you the physical workout you may want, but go deeper and you'll realize it's so much more. The practice of yoga is about creating a connection, to ourselves, to our bodies, to our minds, to our lives.

Conscious breathing is crucial for calming the mind, connecting body and mind, and transforming the practice from simple calisthenics into a deeper journey of awareness, stillness, and inner wisdom.

When practising yoga, muscle strength is essential for both posture alignment and functional movement. While dynamic movement (transitioning in and out of poses) undoubtedly helps to build strength through action and engagement, holding a posture for extended periods can challenge muscles in a different way.

♡Promoting myofibrillar hypertrophy, which contributes to long-term strength development.

♡Improve muscle endurance and stability

♡Going deeper into our fascia and connective tissues, in yoga, fascia becomes more pliable when consistently stretched, which helps to enhance flexibility and range of motion.

♡Helping your muscles stay stronger for longer preventing muscle fatigue, holding poses longer helps the body adapt to fatigue, increasing the ability to maintain strength and stability under pressure.

♡The hardest one of all
Mind body connection improving wellbeing, holding a yoga pose for an extended period of time requires focus, patience, and the ability to stay present with your breath.

Carpal tunnel syndrome the most frustrating feeling 😩

What is carpal tunnel 🤔
Pressure on a nerve called median in your wrist which causes pain and numbness.
Which can travel from your fingers into the hand and wrist often travelling up your arm in some cases.

To help ease symptoms resting your hand and supporting it with a wrist splint. In some cases people need steroid injections or surgery.

Yoga can be very beneficial to help relieve pain numbness or that tingling feeling, focus on gentle movement and gentle pressure. Yoga can help with moving blood flow around. It's crucial to avoid putting excessive weight and pressure on the wrists this can make symptoms worsen.

The causes can be by repetitive hand movements, from work, sports, certain health conditions like diabetes, arthritis, or pregnancy related fluid retention, weight gain such as obesity, or previous wrist injuries such as a fracture.
