West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has the responsibility of commissioning healthcare for the population of West Essex. The commissioning group is made up of 38 of general practices within the 3 localities that make up West Essex; Epping Forest, Harlow and Uttlesford who work together to ensure the best possible healthcare is available and meets the needs of people in West Essex. WECCG cover a population of approximately 293,000 and some of the top priorities are to reduce the number of unnecessary hospital admissions particularly for our older patients by supporting them in the community, to work in partnership with our patients living with long term conditions to better manage their conditions and to ensure the services we commission are centred around our patients and co-ordinated across care settings.
