Today, our residents came together to honour Armistice Day with music, memories, and song. 🎶
Everyone enjoyed listening and singing along as Jamie paid tribute to some of the greats — from Glenn Miller to George Formby, Two Tonne Tessie to the Pearly King, Little W***y to The Andrews Sisters. ❤️
The room was filled with smiles, toe-tapping, and plenty of reminiscing as we remembered and celebrated together.

Our residents came together to create something truly special this Remembrance Day. Each poppy made was unique—coloured, painted, and crafted with care, using everything from vibrant tissue paper to intricate designs. The result? A stunning display of unity and remembrance, now proudly displayed in our reception.

Standing on either side, two soldier silhouettes watch over the sea of poppies—a beautiful reminder of the bravery and sacrifice of our soldiers.

Thank you to everyone who contributed. Your creativity and spirit make this tribute even more meaningful.

During our News afternoon last week, some residents were talking about how they celebrated Bonfire night, and how they made Guy Fawkes , they asked if we could.makr one here. So if they ask, we deliver. So today with leaves from the garden we stuffed our guy and he is now proudly sitting in reception. The comments we have already had are amazing. Well done to the residents who made him this morning.

👻🎃Happy Halloween🎃👻 We have had a spooky week starting with decorating the home with spiderwebs🕸️🕷️ and balloons then decorating pictures of pumpkins, threading pasta around pumpkins and finally carving pumpkins🎃. Residents carved their own pumpkins with just a little help from the lifestyle team, there was a lot of competitiveness. But the final ones looked magnificent on display in the reception. Our talented head Chef Jerome made a magnificent scary pumpkin cake which everyone enjoyed with their morning cup of tea. Today we went trick or treating around the home gathering goodies, had a costume competition and pumpkin competition. Well done to all the winners, all well deserved, then to finish the day we had entertainment from Johnny Mack Entertainment for a good old singalong.🎶

Our Christmas fair is coming soon Saturday 29th November 10-4 🎄🎁
I am looking for donations for tombola prizes. If you wish to donate anything please hand in to Fiona Lifestyle Lead.
Also any stall holders still want a stall for £10 or if you know anyone who might be interested maybe Avon or jewellery, please let me know.
