Let’s talk about Bereavement 💭

“Bereavement is the experience of losing someone important to us.”

- There is no right or wrong way to feel. Losing someone that is important to us can be emotionally devastating - whether they are a person, family member, friend of pet. Bereavement can also stem from feelings of change or other types of loss such as moving away or the ending of something.

It can take its toll on our mental health and nearly everyone go through mixed emotions.

As hard as it can be, it can be good to talk to someone when struggling through grief 🤍

Learning about “Dissociation” 💭

“Dissociation is a mental process of disconnecting from one's thoughts, feelings, memories or sense of identity.”

Many people will experience dissociation at some point in their lives. There can be lots of different causes to make you dissociate.

To dissociate is a natural response to trauma that can’t be controlled.
This does not mean that you have dissociative identity disorder (DID).

What is it?
“Boundaries are basic guidelines that people create to establish how others are able to behave around them.”

We feel the need to please others, often without realizing that by saying “yes” to everything, we are also saying “no” to something else that might be equally important to them.

It can feel scary at first but its important we learn to love ourselves yourself. These boundaries are set for a reason 🤍
