After what has been a difficult and unsettling couple of weeks for Epsom, it’s genuinely heartening to be back in town today and to see it at its best.

The sunshine is out, the market is full of life, and there’s a real sense of normality returning. People chatting, supporting local traders, and simply enjoying being part of this community again, it’s a reminder of what Epsom really is.

Moments like this matter. They give us a chance to refocus on the values that make our town strong: respect for one another, tolerance, and inclusivity. Home Instead Wimbledon and Kingston, Home Instead Sutton, and Home Instead Epsom and Dorking came together at Sutton Civic Library to support World Parkinson’s Day last weekend, as part of a wider community event dedicated to raising awareness and supporting those affected by the condition.

Alongside other local organisations and charities, the teams hosted an information stand and spoke with members of the public, including individuals living with Parkinson’s, their families and carers.

The day created a valuable opportunity for open conversations, sharing advice and helping people better understand the support available to them at home.
