Oakdown House Oakdown House provides specialist residential care & support to adults with Learning Disabilities in Sussex. A great place to live and work!

Oakdown House is set in 4 acres of stunning mature gardens with lots of on site parking. We can support up to 45 residents with learning disabilities & profound physical disabilities, who live in one of 5 separate units on the site. Oakdown is a busy, happy home with lots going on! At Oakdown we follow a person centered approach, the individual is at the heart of everything we do and our aim is to make a difference everyday. We are a family run and led business with lots of facilities including a swim spa which provides sensory therapy for our residents. The directors Mike and Michelle are always happy to stop for a chat & a cup of tea! We hope you like our page - feel free to share with your friends.

• As a Support Worker, you will:
• Provide person-centred support tailored to individual needs

• Offer practical and emotional support in daily living tasks

About You
• You may already have experience in care, or perhaps you have supported a loved one and feel inspired to take that next step into a professional role. Most importantly, you are:
• Naturally caring and patient
• A good listener with strong communication skills
• Positive, dependable, and respectful
• Passionate about helping others live their best lives
• Relevant qualifications are welcomed but not essential — we value your attitude and commitment just as much as experience. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Our friendly care home supporting adults with learning disabilities is looking for a Head of Housekeeping to help keep our home clean, safe and welcoming for residents and staff.

✨ What you’ll be doing:
• Leading a small housekeeping team
• Ordering and managing household supplies
• Maintaining COSHH data sheets
• Communicating with suppliers via phone & email
• Working with maintenance & management teams
• Helping create a warm, homely environment

💡 What we’re looking for:
✔ Someone with great attention to detail
✔ High standards of hygiene
✔ Self-motivated and confident managing a team

🎁 What we offer:
• 15 flexible hours (great for school/childcare schedules)
• Holiday pay

The fresh air, peaceful surroundings and gentle stroll made for a perfect winter outing. It’s always wonderful to spend time in such a beautiful place, and Louise enjoyed spotting the many deer in the grounds. 🦌💚
