Let’s talk about nail health.

Nails do not breathe, but they do need proper care. When looked after by a trained professional, nail treatments should support and protect the natural nail rather than damage it.

A few things worth knowing:

• Nails are made of keratin, the same protein as hair. Products like polish and gel do not “suffocate” the nail, but correct application and removal are key.

• Damage usually comes from picking or peeling. Removing gel or acrylic at home can strip away layers of the natural nail and leave it weak.
