On Bonfire day we had a fun task of making smoors, the family members loved eating them afterwards, all very sticky but said they were scrumptious. Most of the family members had never had them before. We then reminisced about bonfire night and did a quiz. We were joined by St Paul's Catholic School pupils, thank you for all your help!

Our 'LIGHT' party was really good. We spoke about Jesus being the Light of the World and went through a track of how the gospel can be spread during Halloween time. We ended our party off with Gary putting records on for us.

We had an interesting time reminiscing Trafalgar Day. We had an antiques roadshow on ships that the Family Members really enjoyed. To end the afternoon off we played paper battleships.

We had a lot of fun yesterday with our activity. Our theme for the week is Trafalgar Day. We made a collage using tissue paper, to create a sea and sky then we stuck either a ship or a submarine on it. They all looked so different as everyone's creativity was shown.

We have started a Knitting club. Whether taking part in knitting or just enjoying the conversations and each other company it is really nice. We are knitting squares to make a blanket for the homeless. We will use the French knitting as a border around the blanket.

We had a different kind of activity. We used coffee beans and glue to make the shape of different animals or pets. They all came out very nice, the family members were impressed. We had 3 students from St Paul's Catholic school join us and after the activity they spent time in the lounge with family members making puzzles.

We had an afternoon of playing musical instruments with a difference. We first did a quiz with answering in doing the actions of the musical instrument. I handed out the instruments and we played to the Sound of Music, jive bunny and a classical piece. We ended in singing Amazing Grace while using our egg shakers to keep in time. I closed in prayer. A very nice afternoon.
