Marketing can be extremely clever in making you think that what you are having is beneficial, but sometimes…

It’s definitely not!

Now, unfortunately, this is the case with quite a lot of snack bars/ protein bars that we are seeing in the shelves all the time now.

They are no all created equally.

Some are great snacks
Some are basically chocolate bars or flapjacks with a halo on top

If you are looking to lose weight and using these bars as snacks to help boost your protein… we may need to look at your choices

In a fat loss phases we need to make sure that protein to calorie ration matters

This is not about good food and bad food

It’s about whether something is doing the job you want it to or if it is optimum for your results

If you are relying on some of these bars to help you hit your protein but it’s actually lower in protein than you realise and higher in calories - it’s not going to help you - it’s just got a fancy dress on!

BUT…and this is a big but….i’m not saying, never eat them

It just means that they aren’t the best use of your calories and satisfying hunger when in a calorie deficit if you are looking for a protein increase

Save this for your next food shop 🛒

Valentine’s used to feel like a test I had to pass.

Be “good” all day.
Try not to eat too much.
Feel guilty if I enjoyed anything.

Which usually ended in overeating… then beating myself up.

And I see my clients doing the same every single year.

PLEASE REMEMBER:

One meal will not ruin your progress.
But the guilt spiral after it absolutely can.

You’re allowed to go for dinner.
You’re allowed chocolate.
You’re allowed to enjoy your life while losing fat.

The goal isn’t perfection.
It’s consistency.

Eat normally.
Choose what you actually want.
Move on the next day.

That’s what sustainable looks like.

What do you usually struggle with most on occasions like this?

Overeating, guilt, or the “sod it” mindset?

Comment 💘 below an I’ll send you my easy eating out guide xx

If January didn’t go perfectly… this is your reminder that you’re not behind.

After a chaotic November and December, this NKD girl felt like she’d lost her rhythm and honestly thought she’d have to start all over again.

But instead of slashing calories or doing anything extreme…
we went back to boring basics.

Walking more.
Planning food ahead of busy days.
Managing stress.
Eating regular, balanced meals.

Nothing fancy. Nothing restrictive. Just repeatable habits.

And guess what happened?

Her weight has dropped consistently every single week since.

Not because she tried harder.
Because she made it easier to stay consistent.

This is what real fat loss looks like.
Calm. Steady. Sustainable.

Not all or nothing. Not starting Monday. Not punishing yourself.

Just small habits that add up when life is busy.

If January felt messy or you feel like you’ve lost momentum, take this as your sign
you don’t need a reset… you need a simpler plan 🤍

Message me “READY” if you want help building one that actually fits your life and finally feel confident to wear what you want!

January had everyone thinking they were failing, when actually they were just exhausted.

Trying to be perfect, motivated and in control 24/7 after December is a big ask. Most women I speak to weren’t lacking willpower, they were just putting too much pressure on themselves.

If January felt harder than expected, you’re not broken. You’re human.

Be honest, what was your biggest struggle last month

Cravings
Overeating
Motivation disappearing

✨ 3 ways to work with me. From free tips to feeling incredible, NKD style ✨

1️⃣ The free stuff
Low commitment, high value, zero pressure.

This is where you dip your toe in. Instagram tips, no BS education, realistic food advice, free guides and my free WhatsApp group where I teach you how to eat like a normal human again.

Perfect if you’re curious, overwhelmed, or just not ready to be coached yet. You’ll learn a lot, feel supported, and stop believing everything you’ve been told about weight loss.

Think of this as your “I want help but I’m not ready to go all in” phase.

2️⃣ 1:1 Coaching
The full support, fully personalised, no hiding place option.

This is for women who are done messing about. You want structure, clarity, accountability and someone in your corner who actually gets your life.

Everything is tailored to you. Your habits, your schedule, your struggles, your goals. We work on food, mindset, consistency and confidence so weight loss actually sticks and life doesn’t feel on hold.

If you want to feel strong, calm around food and confident in your body again, this is it.

3️⃣ Accountability Coaching
Support, structure and momentum, without full 1:1 intensity.

This is for women who know what to do but struggle to actually do it consistently. You want check ins, direction and someone keeping you on track without needing everything personalised.

You’ll get guidance, accountability and that gentle nudge to stop overthinking and start showing up. Less hands on than 1:1, more support than going it alone.

Perfect if you want progress, not perfection.

Wherever you’re at, there’s a level of support for you. ❤️

By February, the New Year motivation can feel completely gone.
I know that feeling all too well.

January starts with big intentions. Fresh diary. New routines. That “this is my year” energy.
And then real life quietly creeps back in.

The mornings are still dark. Progress feels slower than you expected. The excitement fades.

And suddenly you’re questioning whether you’ve already messed it up.

I’ve had years where February made me feel flat, frustrated, and almost embarrassed.

Like… why am I already struggling when everyone else seems to be flying?

What I’ve learned is this
It’s not a motivation problem.
It’s an expectation problem.

We expect ourselves to run on January energy forever.
But motivation isn’t something you feel and then act on.
It’s something that comes after you simplify.

When I feel that dip now, I stop trying to “get back on it”.
I zoom right out.

I strip things back to the absolute basics.
Regular meals.
Enough protein.
Daily movement that actually fits my life.
No all or nothing thinking. No pressure to be perfect.

I remind myself that consistency in February looks quieter than motivation in January.
And that’s normal.

This is the part of the year where real results are built.
Not when you feel excited
But when you keep going even when you don’t.

If February feels hard for you, you’re not failing.
You’re just human.
And you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

Keep going. Quiet progress still counts ❤️

These are a bit uncomfortable to read… because they’re true.

“Eating clean” doesn’t mean you’re in a calorie deficit.
Whole foods, smoothies and salads can still keep you exactly where you are. Fat loss doesn’t come from food labels, it comes from understanding what your body actually needs.

Scale avoidance doesn’t equal self care.
Avoiding the scale often just hands your progress over to emotions. Data isn’t the problem. Learning how to use it without spiralling is.

You’re not “too busy” to lose weight, you’re just using chaos as a crutch.
Life isn’t going to calm down. Waiting for a quieter season keeps you stuck in the same body, repeating the same January resets.

You’re not failing because you like food too much.
You’re failing because every plan you’ve tried expects you to eat like a robot and live like you don’t have a social life.

Scale fluctuations aren’t sabotaging you, your reaction to them is.
One higher weigh in doesn’t mean you’ve gained fat. The panic restriction and “I’ll start again Monday” usually do more damage than the number ever could.

So what do you do instead?

You stop chasing perfection and start building awareness.
You learn what a realistic calorie deficit looks like without tracking every gram.
You use the scale as information, not a judgement on your worth.
You create systems that work on busy workdays, stressful weeks and social weekends.
You focus on consistency over drama.

This is exactly how I coach my 1:1 clients.
Fat loss that fits real life, not another short term reset.

My 1:1 coaching is open.

If you’re feeling a bit seen by any of these and ready to finally feel your best… DM me and let’s have a chat xx

She wanted to feel amazing for her 30th.
Not exhausted, restricted or starting again in January.

This NKD Queen didn’t need another plan that she wasn’t going to stick to, she needed something that worked around her busy life!

As many of us, her life is crazy busy! Working, studying and raising 3 children and then taking on a new job - believe me when I say she struggles for time!

She is the kind of busy where most women put themselves right at the bottom of the list.

She wanted to feel amazing for her 30th, but not by running herself into the ground or starting another cycle of all-or-nothing.

So we made sure that what we set for her was achievable in all the chaos.

What she’s overcome isn’t a lack of motivation It’s learning how to adjust to suit her!

Learning how to keep running because she loves it. Adding the gym without pressure. Showing up imperfectly on the weeks where life took over and not letting that undo everything.

This is just her halfway progress. Built in real life. Built through routine changes, tired days and seasons that usually knock women off track. Built with support, structure and a plan that adapts instead of collapses.

And we’re not done yet!

We’re continuing to work together as her routine settles So that we can build upon the next stage of her life and the countdown to the summer and beyond!

If you’re trying to juggle work, family and everything else and want results without sacrificing your life to get them, my 1:1 coaching is currently open.

Message me “COACHING” and we’ll talk through whether it’s the right fit for you. Xx
