'Our Last Father's Day Together' is a poem that was meant for my dad. I was going to read it to him today but he passed away last week. One of the hardest things any of us may go through is saying goodbye to a loved one we know is passing.
If this is to be your last Father's Day together with your dad I really hope this poem offers you both the words you need right now and however you are feeling about today please know it's okay to feel that way.

We know how it feels to be bereaved by su***de, and just how valuable this service will be for so many people out there. ā¤ļø

Facing the Future groups (run by Samaritans) bring together people bereaved by su***de who are over 18 and wish to talk through their feelings with others who have had similar experiences.

The closed groups offer a safe online space to talk, are free of charge and comprise six 90-minute sessions held at the same time on consecutive weeks.

It's been 5 years and it still hurts so much.
No longer here, but never forgotten.

Every 40 seconds, someone dies by su***de. This affects families, communities, and entire countries, and has long-lasting effects on those left behind. Together, we can remove the stigma so those who need our help can ask for it.

Here are some warning signs that someone may be seriously thinking about su***de:
āš ļø Threatening to kill themself.
āš ļø Saying things like "No-one will miss me when I'm gone."
āš ļø Looking for ways to kill themself, such as browsing the Internet, or buying objects to use like rope or knives.
āš ļø Saying goodbye to close family & friends or giving away their valued possessions.
