We want to give thanks, yet again, to these local companies (among others), that have gone above and beyond to support us with our fundraising throughout our efforts in the fight against MND!

Since Pete’s diagnosis through to our legacy work now, these particular businesses have been there, always stepping in to support where they can. With the upcoming Memorial Cup, they’ve once again come to the fore to offer sponsorship to help us run the day.

Stitch 2 Print - Local apparel merchant and decorator. Involved right from the start with helping to produce event merchandise and the supplier for the clothing line of our partner project Mind Over MND. Creating and sponsoring kits for many events, including sponsoring one of our kits for the upcoming annual match 💙

Fraser & Wheeler Estate Agents - Always stepping forward to contribute time and money to help us make events bigger and better, as well as regularly sharing our message to their followers. Director Chris will be playing in the match itself- as his support for Pete and the projects to help him, has far exceeded that expected of someone who was originally an estate agent for the family. F&W are the second of the sponsors for our new football kits to be used each year ❤️

Fifields Construction - Another company that has regularly stepped in to help, both physically and financially. Sponsoring and providing resources for many events, whilst also organising the recent home renovations which made the family’s final months together more comfortable. Fifields have committed to sponsoring The Evo Memorial Cup trophy itself, to be used each year to provide the silverware for the winning team (along with the bragging rights!)

We cannot thank and recommend these companies enough for their unwavering support 🙌 the owners/ directors of which have time and again shown their true caring character. When it comes down to it, what more could you wish for than dealing with honest and genuine people when choosing a business for a service 🫶

🚨Beneficiary Announcement🚨

Following the recent passing of Peter ‘Evo’ Eveleigh, the meaning behind our movement, there will be a change to the way our future profits are distributed.

Previously, all funds raised from Mind Over MND. projects, clothing and fundraisers were split 50/50 between the TeamEvo Fund (providing direct financial support to Pete and his family) and Pete’s chosen charity- The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation. However, in agreement with Pete’s wife Jess, we have decided that for future sales and fundraising, 100% of the money will be given to ❤️

Pete was very clear on the fact that whilst the finances raised to support him were vital; ensuring he had access to medical resources he needed, supporting his family whilst he and Jess couldn’t work and enabling him to achieve some life ambitions- raising money solely in this way wasn’t going to save his or other’s lives. The important work that charities like Darby Rimmer do to research the disease and associated treatments, is what will really move the needle in terms of the ultimate goal of finding a cure.

Part of the aim of which was started to support him as a result of his diagnosis with MND in 2022, was to raise awareness of the disease and support the funding of projects that could help other families and future MND sufferers. Darby Rimmer was the charity Pete felt most connected to. He felt the care and support they provide first-hand during his own experience with MND. It was his choice originally to split the funds to ensure Darby Rimmer received financial backing, and we’re certain it would be his wish to support the charity moving forward.

We are devastated we couldn’t save Pete, but his battle cannot be in vain! Now, the legacy of his fight against MND needs to be contributing to the greater act of ensuring there will be a future where MND isn’t a life sentence!

Mind Over MND. doesn’t stop here- we continue to do what we can in Pete’s honour. We hope all of our amazing supporters continue to get behind us in our future projects, as we aim to end MND once and for all 👊

Announcing ‘The Evo Memorial Cup’ ⚽️

A charity football match with a meaning 🥁 A chance to honour the legacy of the late Peter ‘Evo’ Eveleigh, to raise awareness and inspire others to do what they can to support the on-going fight against MND- the cruellest of diseases!

Details of the match are as follows:

🗓️ Saturday 9th May 2026
📍 St James Park (Exeter City Football Club)
⏱️ 11am kick off
🎟️ No tickets required, just turn up on the day. £5 donation for adults at entry & children are free
🏟️ Entry through the player’s entrance (next to the club shop) in the main stand
❤️ All proceeds from the match going to the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation to support in (Pete’s chosen charity)
🍻 Bar open for refreshments

A continuation of the charity match style we started last year (TeamEvo v Thorverton), this time as a way of remembering Evo, in a way which we hope will become an annual spectacle, with a different format.

The match will include two 11-a-side teams, with squads made up of a host of friends, teammates and colleagues that had an impact over the course of Evo’s life, both before and during his battle with Motor Neurone Disease (think SoccerAid). Full team news to be announced in due course…

What a couple of days 💔 we have been inundated with reaction, tributes and thoughtful messages and once again want to thank our amazing community far and wide for plastering Evo’s handsome face everywhere. A fitting gesture to celebrate a man who so clearly touched so many lives!

With lots reaching out to offer support, we have organised for a memorial fund to be set up in Pete’s honour- to help with funeral costs and provide direct support to Jess and Oliver as they negotiate the most difficult period anyone could ever possibly wish for. It is with great sorrow and regret we share the news that yesterday morning, Pete lost his battle and passed away peacefully. In body and mind, he stayed true to his resilient nature and put up the toughest of fights until the very end!

We know that there are an overwhelming number of people who have been moved by Pete, both in personal encounters with him through his life, and more recently his story of battling through adversity. We cannot express how thankful we are to all those who supported him, his wife Jess and son Oliver, and all of his other friends and family, both directly and indirectly. We have felt an overwhelming wave of support as we negotiated some of the most difficult times any of us have encountered, and the army behind us really made a difference.

We know that many of you will feel compelled to reach out to show your love and support during this time, but we ask that you allow those close to Pete space and time to process and reflect.

It will be impossible to forget someone who gave us so much to remember! A life that touches others as yours did, will last forever ♾️🤍

Rest easy now, our Evo 🙏
