I’ve been running the 7-Day Confidence Reset this week, and one specific exercise always hits harder than expected.

Day 3: The Competence Inventory.

I ask the women in the challenge to stop "feeling" and start documenting. I have them list:

- 10 complex problems they solved that others couldn't.
- 5 times a peer or board member specifically headhunted their expertise.
- 3 high-stakes situations they navigated with total composure.
- Their full list of hard-earned qualifications.
- Every piece of objective, positive feedback they can recall.

Most women start this exercise expecting to struggle. Their internal critic has been whispering for months—sometimes years—telling them they’re "winging it." That their career is a fluke. That they aren't nearly as capable as people think.

Then they start writing. And they can’t stop.

Here is the truth: That feeling of "losing your edge" during perimenopause isn't a loss of skill. It’s a cognitive filtering glitch. Your brain starts skipping over the proof and highlighting only the stumbles. It edits your professional story until the critic is the only voice left in the room.

The Competence Inventory breaks that neural pattern. It forces your brain to sit with the raw data. Real achievements. Clear evidence. Skills you have proven a thousand times over.

The next time that internal critic pipes up before a board meeting, you aren't just "hoping" you can get through it. You’ve got a physical file of 40+ pieces of evidence that say you’ve done this before, and you are the best person for the seat.

For a lot of women, this is the first time the ground has felt solid in months.

The 7-Day Confidence Reset is:
✅ Pre-recorded (Watch in your own time)
✅ Completely private (No "sharing" or group calls)
✅ Specifically for the professional woman navigating perimenopause.

The doors are still open, and it is still free.

A few years ago I was in a session with a client and I knew exactly what I wanted to say. The structure was clear. The words were right there, and then they were gone, and nothing
came out of my mouth!

Not a pause.
Not a stumble.
Just silence.

The professional clarity I had relied on for years had completely vanished.

I cancelled the rest of my clients that day and went home to bed.

And a fear gripped that my career might be over. That this fog in my brain would look like incompetence to the people around me.

I'm sharing this because I know some of you are living your own version of this right now.

You might scramble for words before a presentation.

Feel a wave of anxiety hit twenty minutes before a meeting.

Or find that your mind goes foggy and only clears once you are back at your desk, acting like everything went fine.

A study in the UK Gov Menopause Employment Champion Report states there are 4.5 million women aged 45–55 in the workplace, and 1 in 10 women have left their jobs due to symptoms of perimenopause. Not because they want to. Because they feel like they have no other option.
I nearly became one of those statistics.

What saved me was not fighting the symptoms. It was having a set of cognitive tools already in place. So when perimenopause hit, I could respond instead of react.

Within weeks the anxiety stopped running the show. The fog still came but I could clear it before it touched my work.

That is exactly why I built The 7-Day Confidence Reset. Practical tools. Pre-recorded. Private. Completely free.

If you have been quietly lowering your expectations and telling yourself "this is just how it is now," I would ask you to rethink that.

It doesn't have to be.

It took me 3 years and reaching a breaking point to realise this: 🚩
For 90% of professional women in perimenopause, the way you look rarely matches how you feel.

On the outside: Composed. Authoritative. Experienced.

But inside?

You’re gripping the edge of your seat, rehearsing every sentence 10 times, and terrified the "mask" is about to slip. 🎭

That gap between the facade and reality is exhausting. I know because I was that woman. I spent years worried my career was simply… over.

I didn’t need wellness tips. I needed to REWIRE.

I took the NLP and hypnotherapy tools I’ve taught for a decade and adapted them for this hormonal storm. I stopped fighting my body and started re-engineering my cognitive response.

The 7-Day Confidence Reset is officially OPEN. 🚀

Designed for high-achieving women tired of second-guessing their brilliance, we move from "surviving" to "steering" in just 10 minutes a day:

✅ Identify: Pinpoint your "brain freeze" triggers.
✅ Reset: A 5-minute ritual to settle your nervous system.
✅ Rewire: Direct the inner critic toward grounded facts.
✅ Reclaim: Stay present, even when hormones are "doing their thing."

The Format:
Pre-recorded. Private. No awkward group calls. Just the "software upgrade" your career deserves.

Don’t become the 1 in 10 who walks away from a career they spent decades building.

Most advice for anxiety before a big moment is…wrong:

💬"Remind yourself of your achievements."
💬"Tell yourself you belong."
💬"Challenge the negative thought."

All of that talks to your rational mind. But when your body is in stress mode, logic isn’t in charge. Your nervous system is.

And it doesn’t respond to thinking, it responds to physiology.

You can know you’re qualified and list your achievements. Still, your throat may tighten when you speak.

You’re trying to negotiate with a system that doesn’t speak your language.

The entry point? Your body.
Regulated breathing, longer exhale than inhale, signals your parasympathetic nervous system: stand down. You’re not convincing yourself you’re safe, you’re sending data your body understands.

Body first.
Then mind.

Two minutes of deliberate breathing before your next meeting.
Not to “relax.”
To reset.
There’s a difference.

Ever tried this and noticed a shift? Comment “Yes” if you have or “No” if you haven’t yet.

Let’s start talking about how body-first hacks change performance under pressure.

The worst career advice for women over 45?

💬"Maybe it’s time to slow down."
💬"Have you thought about a less demanding role?"
💬"Perhaps you should consider stepping back?

Slow down from what, exactly?

👩‍🎓The expertise that makes you indispensable?

👩‍⚖️The career you’ve spent two decades cultivating?

🏡The income that secures your family’s future?

That advice assumes that perimenopause is a permanent decline. It suggests that brain fog, sudden anxiety, or freezing mid-sentence means your "peak" is behind you.

It isn't.

Yes, these symptoms are very real because your prefrontal cortex, working memory, and emotional regulation are all navigating a hormonal storm.

But these aren't signs of failure; they are amplified stress responses.

And stress responses can be managed, interrupted, and overridden with the right tools.

I’m not talking about self care management, candles, or "just journaling it out." I’m talking about high-level cognitive tools built for high-pressure professional environments.

The women I work with aren’t slowing down; they are simply recalibrating.

The "engine" is still world-class. It just needs a different kind of fuel for this specific stretch of the journey.

There is a massive divide between these two mindsets:

🫩“I can’t do this anymore” → Leads to resignation letters and lost potential.

🏋️‍♀️“I need different tools for this phase” → Leads to Monday mornings where you feel sharp, capable, and back in the driver’s seat.

I know which one I’d choose. (the path I chose).

Have you been told it's time to "simmer down" just as you were reaching your prime? Type a "Yes" in the comments if you’ve felt that "system glitch," or "Not yet" if you’re here to stay ahead of the curve.

I've noticed something about the perimenopausal women I work with.

They all use the same phrase at some point. Almost word for word.
"I used to be sharp."
Used to. Past tense. Like they've lost something.

These women lead teams, manage projects, and make tough decisions. They have decades of experience.

And now? They sit in the car park before work. They rehearse lines and scroll through notes. They brace themselves for a day that once felt easy, and now they are second guessing themselves.

The scary part? They’ve quietly accepted it, like noticing a slow leak in a tyre. You keep pumping it and hope nobody notices.
Here’s what most don’t realise: their knowledge hasn’t gone anywhere.

What’s changed isn’t what they know, it’s how they access it under pressure.

That’s the real problem. Not “I’m not good enough.” Not “I’ve lost it.”

Once you understand how access gets blocked, you can fix it.

Next time you catch yourself saying, “I used to be…”, pause. You haven’t lost it, you just need a way to reach it again.

If this sounds familiar, drop a 'Yes' below.

Let's name what's actually happening — it's not your ability that's gone anywhere. It's just your access to it that needs clearing.

1 in 10 women walk away from their careers because of perimenopause.

I almost became one of them.
As an NLP trainer and hypnotherapist, I’ve spent a decade teaching the mechanics of the mind—how to stay grounded, clear, and capable under pressure. But in 2022, perimenopause hit me like a wall.

The symptoms weren't just "annoying"; they were dismantling my life:

- Debilitating brain fog.
- Severe insomnia.
- Crippling anxiety and depression.

When it started affecting my ability to think clearly during high-stakes client sessions, I felt like I was watching my career dissolve in real-time. I was terrified, exhausted, and felt I was losing my very identity.

I tried the medical route, but HRT wasn’t the solution for me. I felt completely untethered. The confidence I had built my entire life on had simply evaporated.

Then, I realised I was sitting on the answer.

I turned back to the tools I had spent years teaching others. I stopped waiting for an external fix and started re-engineering my own internal response using NLP and hypnotherapy techniques, specifically adapted for this "hormonal storm."

Slowly, the fog cleared. The anxiety became manageable. I reclaimed my confidence.

I didn't just survive; I used my own tools to save my career.

I recently heard that 1 in 10 professional women quit because of these symptoms. They don’t leave because they want to—they leave because they feel they have no choice.

I’ve stood on that cliff edge. The only difference is I had the psychological toolkit to pull myself back.

I don't want you to become a statistic. I’ve structured everything I used into a new program designed to help you navigate this storm.

Over the next few days, I’ll be sharing more about what I learned and how these tools can help you reclaim your professional edge.

If this resonates, follow along. If you know a woman navigating this storm right now, please share this with her. She needs to know there is a way back.
