Why do we use kambo?
Traditionally, the Amazonian tribes used kambo in the following ways:
To increase strength, speed & stamina and to reduce hunger and โhuman smellโ whilst hunting.
To clear โpanemaโ which is a name for dark or negative energy such as depression, fear, anxiety or laziness.
As a medicine for fever, infections, snake bites and as a vaccine to guard against illness.
To cleanse the body and mind and to reduce pain.
In the western world, our lives may be very different but kambo helps us in similar ways with benefits to the mind body and soul. Some of these benefits include:
A powerful physical and emotional detox, kambo works with our lymphatic system to clear toxins from all of our cells, and cleanses the gall bladder and liver. The process also helps the body and the mind to release stored stress and trauma.
Kambo seems to give us the strength we need to be the best versions of ourselves, clearing obstacles and providing increased physical and emotional resilience. If you are feeling โstuck in a rutโ kambo can help you to move forwards. Healthy choices seem to become easier and more natural.
Thanks to the bioactive peptides present in the kambo secretion, it has the potential to help a wide range of health issues. Some of these peptides are powerful anti-inflammatories, painkillers, antivirals and anti-fungals which are recognised and used by our bodies cellular processes. Chronic pain conditions can benefit hugely.
Athletes and people with demanding jobs also benefit from kambo in similar ways to how the hunters would traditionally have used kambo, for strength, speed and stamina.
Kambo is not a psychoactive substance. Receiving kambo is a purely physical process, but one which may have profound effects on the physical, emotional and spiritual level.
