Please share. Might any other young people aged 15-18 fancy joining us for this on Sunday at Exeter Library 1-2pm? It will be a small and friendly group :)

We're looking for 15-18 year olds to help us co-design our arts therapy groups and arts activities and would like to come along to a focus group on Sunday 30th November 1-2pm at Exeter Library. They might be someone who has accessed our sessions before or someone who cares about mental health and young people and would like to make a difference. It will be a friendly and relaxed session. Please get in touch via info@youthartsandhealth.org or PM us. There's an arts kit to take home as a thank you for everyone who comes along.

An interview with our Founder/Director in University of Exeter Alumni News this month. We're keen to let University students and their parents/carers know we are here and offer arts psychotherapies for those up to 25 and can help with anxiety, depression, stress, isolation and the pressures of university life.

Alumna Laura Blatherwick (Drama, 2002) is an arts therapist and charity director of the Youth Arts and Health Trust (YAHT) and today, Friday 10 October - World Mental Health Day – the Trust is relaunching.

What exactly is arts therapy? We get asked this frequently as you would expect. One of the strong advantages of an arts therapy approach is the containing aspect of the arts medium when experienced in a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. Clients can proceed at their own pace using the creative process as a means of personal expression, identifying and connecting emotions and making sense of experiences that are hard to say in words.
