My name is Carole Johnson and I am the owner of Onelife Training, we are a family based business in Marsh Barton, Exeter, all of our open courses take place here. We are in an easy accessible location with plenty of free parking. We also offer Group bookings at your location. All of our trainers have a wealth of experience, but saying that they are just like you and I, fun ordinary people, who bring all those qualities into the classroom, our one and only aim is to ensure that you enjoy your training, it is after all part of the process. Health and Safety and First Aid Training is something that every business in the UK needs to take very seriously – for their own good. But it’s no secret that for most people, health and safety is complicated, boring, stressful, overwhelming – or all of the above. First Aid Courses

We ensure that we offer sufficient equipment for you all to take part in the practical aspects of the course, this in turn ensures that you havent got half a dozen people watching you do CPR whilst the rest wait and watch, and can be embarrassing to say the least. We have invested in new choking jackets that never fail to add to the enjoyment of the training. Training Defibrillators now play a part as well. Health & Safety Courses

On our Fire Marshal course, you are given the training and tools on how to complete a Fire Risk Assessment. On our Food Safety course we look at practical assessments on hand cleaning, we have interactive quizzes for our Health & Safety Courses, and lots more we aim is to ensure you learn but have some fun, if you have to be here why not have fun! New Courses

We have new courses coming up, so keep visiting our website. Group Bookings

We can provide in-house training, and this can take place, anywhere in Exeter, or Devon throughout, so check out our prices on the Group Booking page, if it is outside Exeter, give us a call for a quotation, unless you ask you will never know the cost. Ring 01392 420004 to book now

✅ We’re up to date with the latest Resuscitation Council UK guidance.

First aid doesn’t stand still, as research evolves, guidance is updated to help rescuers deliver the most effective care possible.

As of 2nd February, all of our first aid courses reflect the newest national recommendations for CPR, life support and AED use.

If you’ve trained with us before you don't need to worry. Your qualification remains valid and the skills you learned are still safe and effective.

If you’re training with us this year, you can be confident you’re learning in line with the most up-to-date UK standards.

Someone falls and grabs their ankle, or their arm.

Most people immediately think, “Right. I need to do something.”

In our latest Trainer’s Corner video, Rosie and Steve talk about why first aid for sprains, strains and suspected broken bones is often much simpler than people expect.

They cover:

🔸 Why it’s not your job to diagnose

🔸 Why “don’t move it” is often the best advice

🔸 The importance of consent

🔸 When to call for help

🔸 The RICE method for soft tissue injuries

Sometimes the most helpful thing you can do… is not make it worse.

Time to Talk Day took place last week, but we all know the conversations about mental health need to happen every day.

It’s not about having all the answers. It’s about noticing when someone’s struggling, listening, and knowing how to support them.

Our mental health training helps people feel confident talking about mental health at work, whether it’s with a colleague or someone you manage.

If you want to keep the conversation going in your organisation, we’d love to help.

If you’ve been to one of our courses, you’ll know we’re big on keeping first aid practical and easy to understand.

Our YouTube channel is an extension of that.

It’s where we share:

Our First Aid FAQ videos - the questions we’re asked again and again in training.

Trainer’s Corner - relaxed, experience-led chats from our trainers.

Clear, calm explanations you can dip into when you need a refresher or a bit of reassurance.

We also keep our In Case of Emergency podcast up to date too with some of the most popular first aid questions, handy if you prefer to listen while you’re walking, driving, or making a cuppa.

It’s all there to support learning beyond the classroom, in a way that feels accessible and real.
