End of life ceremonies are a time to reflect and remember you loved one's life. It is important that the ceremony should reflect your wishes and those of your loved one, therefore ceremonies are prepared with you, to reflect your religious or spiritual beliefs or they can be completely secular. Together we will create the perfect ceremony which gives you time to mourn your loss. We will honour the unique life of your loved one with music and readings which are personal to you. Grief and Bereavement counselling is available to help you to cope with the process of grieving and come to terms with your loss.

I have been talking to several Funeral Directors recently and I find that they are all talking about the rising costs of funerals.
Because of this I have decided to reduce my fee for the month of July to see if this will help. It will be interesting to see ..........

I am back! I have been very quiet and not working much due to family illness. Now I feel able to pick up again.

Celebrants like myself have a great deal to offer, able to work with clients so that the funeral service is truely individual. Your wishes are paramount and I shall always endevour to meet your requirements.

I really must start a regular post on this page! Being a celebrant is such a privilege , being with others at such a difficult time means a great deal. I am always here to listen.

A lovely service today for a lady of 97! S. Michaels and All Angels hosted the service for a regular member of our Church for 40 years. Fr. Chris Durrant conducted a moving and gracious service. Love to Olive.

I have been asked several times for recommendations for a venue for a post service lunch or buffet. I personally know and eat at The Bowd Inn, Sidmouth, The Otter, Colaton Raleigh and The Maltsters Arms at Woodbury. The Galleon Tea Rooms at Starcross will provide a very good tea and in Exeter The Buckrell Lodge Hotel is very popular. I hope this is of some help.

Lis trained as a celebrant with the Fellowship of Independent Celebrants and regularly works with Funeral Directors in Exeter and the surrounding area. She has also trained in Grief and Bereavement Counselling as an aid to helping her clients at a very difficult time in their lives.
