We’re delighted to share that our Summer BBQ raised £440 - split between the Alzheimer’s Society and The Lewy Body Society. Thank you to everyone who supported us!

So far this year, we’ve also raised:
🌼 £122 for Hospice Care
🤡 £59 for Red Nose Day
🌍 £300 for Save the Children
🎖️ £51 for Combat Stress

We’re so proud of our residents and team - many have been lifelong fundraisers, and it’s wonderful to support them in continuing that passion here. 💛

🍔🌞 Summer Family BBQ Fun! 🌭🎉

The rain stayed away just long enough for us to enjoy a fantastic afternoon together at our Summer Family BBQ on Saturday! 😄

Our amazing chefs served up a delicious feast fresh off the grill, and we held a raffle to raise funds for two causes very close to our hearts:

🧠 The Lewy Body Society

Thank you to everyone who came along, supported the day, and made it so special. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did - we think the photos say it all! 📸❤️

Care Home Open Week – The BIG Sing! 🎙️🎶

What a spectacular day we had celebrating The BIG Sing as part of Care Home Open Week! We invited our residents, their families, and friends to sing along to some all time favourite musical hits, championing the power of music and the pure joy of singing together. 💜

The room was alive with smiles, laughter, and fabulous outfits as everyone embraced the musical theme in style! 👗 👔

This event also held special meaning as we marked Susie’s final choir session with us. Our beloved choir master is off to a new adventure, and this singalong gave us the perfect chance to make her farewell one to remember. 🎤💐

Thank you, Susie, for the music, the memories, and all the joy you've brought to our choir each week. You will be dearly missed! 🥰

We have a published author in our midst! 🎉

Congratulations to resident Bram, who lives with Locked-in Syndrome, who has contributed a chapter to a book which seeks to share and educate about the experiences of those diagnosed with the condition 📖

His 5,000-word chapter, entitled 'Vicissitude', took Bram 10 months to write using an eye-controlled computer - an incredible achievement 👏

We recently held a book launch party to celebrate Bram's incredible achievements - even though it was Bram's party, he couldn't resist also being the DJ! What a legend! 🎵

Royalties from the book will go to Mind Care International Foundation , a charity that provides information and support to patients and their families after brain injury ❤️

When we say that we marked in style, we mean it!

To help set the tone for our VE Day 80th Anniversary Celebrations, singer Patrick Jervis performed some War Time Classics, after which we put on a celebratory spread for our 'Brew & Bake' Afternoon Tea for Combat Stress, the UK's leading veterans' mental health charity.

Our WW2 Quiz tested our collective knowledge and our cake sale catered for every sweet tooth 🧁

As you can see, a great effort was also made in dressing up for the occasion 🙂👗
