Mpox hasn't gone away. While anyone can get mpox, most UK cases are in men who have had close s*xual contact with other men. A free vaccine is available, yet many people haven't had it. The vaccine protects against mpox and reduces your chances of becoming severely unwell if you do catch it.

If you're eligible, the mpox jab is now available routinely as part of your s*xual healthcare alongside STI and HIV testing, screening and other vaccines. It’s one of the best ways to protect yourself. Ask at our clinics or call 111 for more information.

An antibiotic called Doxy-PEP may help prevent against both syphilis and chlamydia when taken after unprotected s*x (condom-less).

Not everyone needs to take DoxyPEP, and our s*xual health clinics can advise and help you decide if it’s right for you. Call 0300 303 3989 for more info.

If you’ve tested positive for an STI, it’s important to be treated to protect your health.
And it's important to let your partner(s) know so they can protect their health.
Sexual health clinics can help with partner notification to help prevent the spread of infections and protect everyone's s*xual health.
