Dear Friends and Families of Dene Court,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support throughout 2025. It has truly been a year filled with many wonderful moments.
Together, we have celebrated special occasions, enjoyed outings, and shared both big and small events that have brought us closer as a community. We’ve welcomed alpacas, ponies, and dogs, and shared many joyful experiences along the way. Some members of staff have moved on to new ventures, and we wish each of them every success and happiness for the future.
This year, we also said goodbye to our beloved partner of our entertainer, Betty. We miss her waggy tail very much, and she remains fondly remembered by us all.
We would also like to take a moment to honour and remember the friends and family members of Dene Court who came into our lives but are sadly no longer with us. They remain very much in our thoughts.
A huge thank you to everyone working over the Christmas period — not only here at Dene Court, but across health and social care, the Armed Forces, the NHS, emergency services, and all those who give their time to support others during the festive season.
May the coming days be filled with warmth and joy, however you choose to celebrate or spend them, and may 2026 bring you all good health and happiness.

On Thursday we celebrated our Christmas party, surrounded by family and friends. There was lots of fun entertainment, games, laughter, and some very special guests. We finished the night with a delicious buffet — the perfect festive celebration 🍾🥂🎁🎄⛄️❄️

What a magical evening at the Home! ✨
We were delighted to welcome the Salvation Army back to share their beautiful music with our residents, families, and staff. Everyone enjoyed the performance from the comfort of the Home, complete with homemade mince pies and mulled wine. 🎶🥧🍷
Everyone loved singing along—such a warm and joyful way to end the day! 🎄
