NEW LEAF HAVE A VACANCY FOR A WOODWORK TECHNICAL INSTRUCTOR!

If you have experience of teaching or coaching alongside creative, woodworking skills and a motivational but empathetic approach, we would love to hear from you!

We are keen to recruit a woodworker to support our service users who are experiencing mental health challenges, gain the self confidence, new skill set and routine to enable them to work towards volunteering or employment opportunities as part of their recovery.
This is initially an 18 month fixed term contract to join our lovely vocational rehabilitation team at our Exminster site.

We have a range of jewel coloured primula breaking bud in our nursery to brighten up your January!
Our nursery is part of our vocational service with the mission of helping people challenged by their mental health on their recovery journey and to work towards employment.
We are open for retail plant sales from Mon-Fri 1000-1500 or if you would like to become a wholesale customer, call by or give us a ring on 01392 823720 to discuss your needs.

Today is our last day of opening until Monday 5th January 2026 and we are open until 3pm for your last minute plants or gifts.

Happy Friday! Look at the lovely Christmas tree created by one of our service users this week. We are so grateful for the creativity, effort and energy brought by those who come to New Leaf.

We have said goodbye to some familiar faces this week as they continue their journey, and as ever we wish them well and thank them for all they have shared with us.

Need a meaningful gift or two? We’ve just a few seasonal wreaths and planted baskets left! Also our new and popular local willow fat-ball bird feeders and woodwork gifts, as well as our small trugs which make a lovely gift basket for gardeners and allotmenteers. And plenty of our home grown apple juice (drink it cold or warmed with spices!). All grown and made with care here at New Leaf, supporting mental health recovery.

Something to brighten a grey day - our Viola are looking beautiful at the moment! We’ve several colours available in single variety packs of 6. And still plenty of lovely cyclamen available too.

Our shop is open Tues-Fri 10am-12.30pm & 1-3pm.

Our wonderful new multispan is now complete thanks to Open Up!
Lots more work to do to prepare the ground for the flooring, trench the polythene and lay the flooring and irrigation but we will get there!
This space will enhance the environment for people to work in and for growing and will increase overall capacity so a wonderful addition to our site!

The New Leaf Team spent a productive morning last week discussing ways to improve our service. This was followed by a shared lunch with some of our volunteers and a lovely walk in the sunshine around Bicton Park Botanical Gardens in the afternoon, rounded off with tea and cake.
Many thanks to Bicton Park for enabling our visit.
