What you will be doing as a Care Assistant:
-supporting clients to maintain their dignity and independence
-assisting with daily personal tasks such as giving medication and personal hygiene
-helping mobility-impaired clients move around their homes as needed
-ensuring client's nutritional needs are met in line with their care plan
-general housekeeping tasks in clients’ homes such as washing up, cooking, and cleaning
-documenting what has happened during each visit, reporting any changes to the client's health, well-being, or home environment to your line manager

What you need, to be a Care Assistant:
-Happy to work with vulnerable adults in the community
-Compassionate and caring towards others
-Flexible and willing to learn key skills and behaviors to fulfill the role
-Able to work evenings and every other weekend

Today is a doubley significant day.

Not only will we those that have fallen for our country.

But we would also like to pay our respect to the upto 60,000 carers, the unsung heroes, who today woke up without a job because they didn’t want to have a vaccine.

At a time when social care is already struggling to recruit and retain staff, this draconian measure not puts even more pressure on an industry close to collapse. That collapse will over run the NHS as many patients will not be able to be discharged from hospital without having care in place. This is just the beginning.

Platinum Care for You is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care and support to older people and younger adults in their own homes. Some of these people were living with dementia. At the time of our inspection 119 people were receiving personal care.

With the end of lockdown now in sight, Platinum Care For You is now hiring for the role of Care Assistant across all of our existing locations due to our continued business growth across Coventry and Warwickshire. As a Care Assistant you will be an integral part of our clients lives. Our clients rely on you as a Care Assistant to provide support with day-to-day activities, such as getting out of bed, washing, dressing, going to the loo, making something to eat or taking medication. This role is based in the community, so it is essential that as a Care Assistant you are able to drive and have access to your own car.

We don’t hire based on experience, we hire based on people – your personality, compassion and empathy are far more important as a Care Assistant. We can teach anyone the ins and outs of being a Care Assistant, but we can’t teach personality, compassion or empathy. So whether you are already a Care Assistant or are looking for a change of role or industry, we want to hear from you.
