Reminder for all;
Dove Lodge (Summerleaze) Facebook posts will now be posted over at Doveleigh Care Ltd page and Instagram instead.

As many of you already know, Doveleigh Care Ltd acquired Summerleaze Home Ltd (which owned Summerleaze Care Home) last year. As of 1st of February 2025, Summerleaze Home Ltd has been dissolved and the Home has been absorbed into Doveleigh Care Ltd. As a result, you may notice some slight changes around the Home.
Firstly, as of the 1st of February, the home will be renamed to ‘Dove Lodge Care Home’. Doveleigh Care Ltd had a poll on their social media accounts, putting several suggestions forward as to what the new name should be. There was a great response to the various options, with ‘Dove Lodge’ gaining more than 50% of the overall votes. As Doveleigh Care Ltd has other homes around East Devon, we thought about them being brought together. The name change was not an easy decision to make, however, with the support from the team at Summerleaze, we saw it as an opportunity for us to turn the page and start a new chapter.
Secondly, from the 1st of February, you will see all our staff wear new and different uniforms. They will be wearing the same uniform that is seen across all Doveleigh Care homes. However, the faces you see will still be the same.
Thirdly, Doveleigh Care uses one Facebook and Instagram page across all homes. If you wish to be kept up to date with news/events/activities at Dove Lodge (formerly Summerleaze), please like/follow our page:

Lastly, we hope the change over to Doveleigh Care is exciting for everyone, and we are looking forward to the future together.
