Friday Fun brought the sunshine … and apparently a surprise visit from the world of Pokémon.

In case you didn’t know (we didn’t until Emily delivered the crucial breaking news), it was International Pokémon Day. Naturally, this became very important information.

Our creative mission for the day was clear… bring the sunshine out from behind those stubborn rain clouds. Operation “Mr Blue Sky” was a success. We crafted beautiful stained glass-style tissue paper windows and proudly displayed them, confidently encouraging brighter skies. We’re pleased to report they worked.

Pom Pom production also continued at impressive levels. Sam bravely tackled our rather dramatic surplus of googly eyes … by “getting rid of them,” we of course mean putting them to excellent use transforming Pom Poms into wonderfully wide-eyed Pokémon creations. Truly visionary work.

We wrapped up the day in the best possible way: singing, dancing, and a delightful story read by our ever-enthusiastic Karen, who never fails to bring a tale to life.
A big thank you to Sandra and Janet who kindly donated some amazing craft supplies… they will definitely be put to good use.

If you’d like to join the Friday Fun, we currently have one all-day space available, or one morning and one afternoon space. For more information, please contact Sam …before the googly eyes take over completely.

Wednesday arrived with Wow and Sunshine, and what a day it’s been. Laughter, creativity, and a whole lot of sparkle filled the room from start to finish.

Brian set the pace with unstoppable crafting energy, completing every project in sight and still finding time to create drawings and add even more memories to his scrapbook. Truly impressive dedication.

A special shoutout goes to Tracy, whose bead threading skills were nothing short of amazing. The care, the focus, the perfectly arranged colour schemes … a beautiful example of patience and creativity in action.

Tony proudly finished his bowl and gave it a dazzling upgrade with sequins, while Ross beamed with pride over his own fantastic bead threading achievements.

With sunshine streaming in, spirits were high and feet were light, bringing an extra spring to our steps and plenty of joy to our dancing.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers. Your dedication, kindness, and support make days like this possible, and we are so grateful for everything you do.

We currently have one place available on Wednesday and one on Friday, both morning and afternoon. For more details, please contact Sam.

Fabtabulous Fridays Update!

Apologies for the slightly delayed post … last Friday was a triple celebration spectacular.

We celebrated Ellie, our truly amazing volunteer, who marked a BIG birthday, alongside Jane and Emily. Naturally, cake was involved.

Our projects took a wonderfully unexpected turn with Space rockets and… sheep. No, they don’t traditionally go together, but we still have a gazillion googly eyes to use up, so creativity won the day.

As always, we danced, sang, and signed the day away.

Exciting news:
We have 2 places available in our fantastic groups:
• Wednesday mornings
• Fridays (all day)

If you’d like to join the fun, don’t hesitate to contact Sam for more information or to book a free taster session.

Come for the activities, stay for the laughter (and possibly a stray googly eye).

Wednesday may have been wet and miserable outside, but not at Creative Serenity. We brightened the day with smiles, laughter, and a generous splash of creativity. Armed with sparkling sequins, we ignored the grey skies and created a rainbow of colour instead. The room was buzzing with energy, joy, and imagination , and it truly shines through in today’s creations.

We were delighted to welcome Brian and Ryan, who received their very own scrapbooks, ready to be filled with fantastic projects in the months ahead. Clive also rose to the challenge by taking on an extra-big jigsaw puzzle and impressively, he completed it in record time. Dancing and music brought even more excitement, with everyone showing off their impressive signing skills and top-tier routines. Special mention goes to Lee, whose expert moves …clearly inspired by Steps …took things to another level.

All in all, it was a wonderfully energetic and productive day, full of sunshine and smiles (even if the weather didn’t get the memo).

For more information about our sessions and what’s coming up, please contact Sam.
And a little creative call-out: we’re currently on the lookout for beads for upcoming projects.

Rainy days don’t stand a chance around here.

Friday brought the energy, creativity, and just the right amount of spangly sequins.

We packed the day with art projects, plus two lively rounds of dancing, singing, and signing along to music. The morning kicked off with Valentine wreaths and bowl decorating, where imagination definitely took center stage. We also got chatting about upcoming celebrations … Chinese New Year on Tuesday 17th and Shrove Tuesday too. No pancakes this time, but we did give our horses the star treatment as we welcomed the Year of the Horse

There were some standout moments: Robert and Amy proudly completed another pom pom masterpiece, Jane fully embraced her inner designer with a sequin-covered bowl, and John added a flowing mane to his horse with serious artistic flair

The fun continued into the afternoon as we turned our attention to designing beautiful stained glass windows. We wrapped up the day with story time, and after such a busy schedule, it was no surprise that a few of our friends gently drifted off during the adventures of Paddington

All in all, it was truly a Fabulous Friendly Friday

If you’d like more information about our sessions or are interested in becoming a volunteer, please don’t hesitate to contact Sam

Whoosh… and just like that, Wednesday flew by!
Time moves fast when you’re having this much fun.

Our morning was packed with creativity and energy. We crafted beautiful Valentine wreaths, added sparkle by sequinning our bowls, and even welcomed a few more birds into our growing collection. To top it all off, we got moving, shaking along to music while playing, singing, and signing together.

Safe to say, it was a morning full of smiles, laughter, and fantastic projects.

We’re currently on the lookout for wool … if you have any spare, we’d be so grateful for donations.

For information about securing a place or exploring volunteer opportunities, please contact Sam.

Fantasticle Fabulousa Friday absolutely flew by in a flash… ahhh haaaa!

First things first, a huge thank you to Emily for sharing her brilliant Comic Con story about meeting the one and only Brian Blessed. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, we were even treated to a voice note from him. Still recovering from the excitement.

Creativity was in full swing as we got well and truly stuck in making love birds and birds of paradise. John powered through and finished another pom-pom as well as his tissue-paper bowl. Nicky and Jayne completed their bowls too and created some truly beautiful birds, plus a few incredible creatures after a very enthusiastic raid of the sticker box.

As always, there was plenty of dancing, singing, signing and joyful music-making along the way.

The afternoon session was just as lovely. One of our wonderful ladies brought in a bag of pom-poms she had made, and Karen kindly turned them into a stunning wreath. It looks absolutely beautiful.

We currently have one all-day Friday place available and one Wednesday morning place available. Please don’t hesitate to contact Sam for more information.

Oh—and we’re in need of more wool, so if you have any spare and would like to donate, we’d be very grateful.

What a truly Wonderful Wednesday it’s been!

After much dedication (and a bit of artistic flair), Lee and Mike finally finished their bowls, Mike’s proudly painted in full camouflage, because of course it is Mikes favourite colour scheme. Clive was on a roll, not only completing his bowl but nearly conquering every jigsaw puzzle in sight this morning.

Meanwhile, Tracy and Ross got completely lost in the creative zone while tackling the dreaded tangly pom poms… somehow managing to create them without a single tangle in sight, which may be a small miracle.

We also kicked off a brand-new paper plate project, and the transformation is underway… those plates are well on their way to becoming birds next.

The afternoon brought music and laughter as Amy and the girls joined Mike and Clive on percussion, with Lee keeping everyone perfectly in time on the bongos. We even welcomed a new face to the group, and as always, it was a joy meeting and making new friends.

Creative Serenity isn’t just about creating fabulous art… it’s about creating friendships too.

Fantastic Friday truly lived up to its name. The room was buzzing as we created even more adorable love bugs and got stuck into making a Paddington Bear calendar and wow, the effort and creativity on display was something else. Honestly, aren’t they amazing? Everyone put in so much hard work and it really showed.

We also had our usual dance exercise and music session, which was a total hit. Huge pride moment here, everyone is learning all the signs to the songs and absolutely smashing it. A video will be coming soon, so keep your eyes peeled.

Special shout-out time! Karen deserves a medal for understanding that Sam isn’t exactly known for being tidy and can be a little disorganised… just take a look at the shed. If you know Sam, you’ll know how very necessary this support is.

Ellie and Holly also deserve massive credit. Ellie has been running story time for the past few weeks while recovering from a mishap and needing to take things easy … true hero energy, still turning up every Friday without fail. And Holly has been an incredible support to our community; the guys really value everything she does.

As if all that wasn’t enough, Sam decided we all deserved a treat and whipped up homemade bacon and cheese turnovers. They went down an absolute storm and were the perfect (and very delicious) way to wrap up the week.

One last thing … we’re on the lookout for cardboard egg boxes. If you have any to donate, or if you’d like more information about our group, please get in touch with Sam.

What a way to end the week.

Once again, Wednesday delivered the goods… fun, friendship, and a whole lot of creativity.

Our bowls are so close to being finished now, and we’re counting down to decorating them very soon. We also launched a brand-new project today: Love Bugs. It was gloriously messy, ridiculously fun, and made a serious dent in our seemingly endless supply of googly eyes.

We welcomed some lovely new friends into the group and danced our socks off (figuratively… mostly). There was singing, signing, and plenty of playing along to some all-time favourite songs.

We’re also thrilled to be welcoming two new volunteers to the team and can’t wait to get stuck into some exciting upcoming projects together.

If you’d like to know more about our happy little group, drop Sam a message or give her a call … we’d love to hear from you.

Another fabulous Friday at Creative Serenity and wow, what a way to end the week.

Our bowls are almost complete and ready for their next glow-up, with colourful inks coming very soon. The room has also been buzzing with pom-poms and God’s eyes, plus a lot of laughter as we tried (and mostly failed) to avoid getting hopelessly tangled. One of our afternoon members has been on a serious pom-pom mission and the results are seriously impressive.

There was plenty of singing, signing and dancing too, with Stephen and Lee absolutely stealing the spotlight. In the afternoon, we created rainbows inspired by last week’s Paddington story, and Emily treated us to a brilliant drawing of Paddington in her own unique style.

Creativity, music, movement and lots of smiles … an amazing end to the week all round.
