Wednesday brought a burst of creativity as we got stuck into making colourful windsocks, ready to dance in the breeze. The plan was to stretch this project over a couple of weeks… but Brian, Ian and Michael had other ideas and powered through at record speed, sending us straight back to the drawing board for Plan B…

There was no slowing down the creativity though. Our ever popular paper plate crafts made a return, this time transforming into a delightful parade of snails.

We were so happy to welcome back our brilliant volunteers, Lucy and Marion, after the Easter break. They were truly missed, and it felt like everything clicked back into place the moment they returned.

We also had some lovely personal news to celebrate. Amy is about to become Auntie Amy, with her new nephew expected any moment. She marked the occasion by making a beautiful welcome card, and we are all looking forward to seeing the first photos.

As always, the day wrapped up with our lively dance and music session, with Lee once again taking centre stage and bringing plenty of energy to the room.

We are also excited to announce that our new Wednesday afternoon session will be launching soon. There are just five places remaining, so if you are interested, please get in touch with Sam to find out more and book a free taster session.

Freaky Friday did not disappoint… it was a whirlwind of curious creatures and creative chaos. From butterflies and frogs to alpacas, mice, snails, tigers and plenty of other weird and wonderful beings, the imagination was in full force.

Everyone threw themselves into it, morning and afternoon alike, getting well and truly stuck in with paint, pens and an ever-growing collection of googly eyes. (Sam is certain they are multiplying… the box never seems to run out.)

There was dancing, singing, and the great pom pom untangling challenge, all adding to the fun. At one point, Liz managed to capture Sam mid-dance in a pose that can only be described as uniquely unforgettable. It is definitely caption-worthy, so feel free to share your best efforts… Sam can handle it.

Next Friday, Viktoria is back with more fun and movement, so be sure to check out her page, UniqueCorn, to see what she has in store.

We will also be announcing a brand new session very soon. Spaces will be limited, so if you would like more information or to book a free taster session, get in touch with Sam.

Wednesday was weally weally wonderful… and yes, we’re keeping that spelling because it fits the vibe perfectly.

With spring in full swing, we turned our attention to the beauty of the trees around us. Blossoms were our inspiration, and armed with straws and bubbles, we set about creating our own versions. Same technique, completely different results… each one as unique and brilliant as the person who made it.

The pom poms made a triumphant return, and let’s just say Sam’s very glamorous assistants earned their title today while bravely tackling some truly impressive tangles.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper Wednesday without a bit of noise and movement. We sang at full volume, danced like nobody was watching, and even threw in a full-on dance-off for good measure.

All in all, a wonderfully lively, laughter-filled Wednesday.

If you fancy being part of our happy little band… whether that’s joining in the fun or lending a hand as a volunteer… get in touch with Sam. We’d love to hear from you.

Friday brought a brilliant mix of scribbles, googly eyes, and some very proud peacocks! Sam was especially thrilled to see those mischievous googly eyes popping up everywhere… they definitely stole the show.
The weather may have leaned towards drizzle and grey skies, but it did nothing to dampen the mood. Smiles were shining just as brightly as sunshine, although Sam did decide it was officially “hat weather.” … again!
The day was filled with singing, signing, and plenty of musical fun. In the afternoon, Karen shared a story, and Sam did her best to sign along. Keeping up with The Hungry Caterpillar was no small task, there were a lot of snacks to get through!
Now the big question remains… does anyone know the sign for watermelon?

The sun was shining and so were the smiles today at Creative Serenity.
It was a bittersweet session as we said goodbye to Anita, who is moving on to her next adventure. She’ll be deeply missed by everyone. Amy shared a truly special moment by creating a heartfelt card for Anita, filled with messages from the whole group … something to treasure and remember us by.
Days like today remind us what Creative Serenity is all about. Yes, we make wonderful art, but we also sing, dance, build friendships, and create memories that last far beyond the session.
From scribble monsters and googly eyes to preparing exciting future projects, today was full of creativity, laughter, and connection, all wrapped up with a fond farewell to a much-loved member.
Here’s hoping the sunshine sticks around a little longer.
If you’d like to join us or find out more, feel free to get in touch with Sam.

Friday was bursting with Easter cheer … think fluffy chicks, colourful eggs, a flurry of feathers, and more than a few mischievous googly eyes making appearances.
We were delighted to be joined by Issie, Sam’s daughter, who took on the very important role of judging our egg decorating competition. Congratulations to Brian and Paul for their winning… A special shout out also goes to Emily, who won a special prize for her fantastic Easter egg design. creations … a tough decision, we’re sure.
Thankfully, every egg was successfully tracked down, and we owe a huge thank you to our wonderful volunteer Lucy for her generous donation of all the eggs.
It was also lovely to welcome some new faces this afternoon, who jumped straight into the dancing and singing with great enthusiasm. A fantastic effort all round.
Of course, no event would be complete without a little mischief… Anita was spotted borrowing Sam’s hat and wearing it with great pride, much to everyone’s amusement.
And now, after all that excitement… Sam is off for a well-earned lie down.

Something new, something fun, and definitely something worth talking about…
Today, our Wednesday group enjoyed a brilliant session with Viktoria from Unique-Corn, and it’s safe to say she brought energy, creativity, and plenty of smiles along with her.
Viktoria specialises in delivering inclusive, tailored exercise sessions for older adults and people with additional needs, and her approach makes movement feel both accessible and genuinely enjoyable. The Creative Serenity community gave her a big thumbs up, with laughter and enthusiasm filling the room from start to finish.
We’re delighted to be welcoming Viktoria regularly to our sessions, and this is just the beginning. She also runs her own group sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in Newton Poppleford, offering even more chances to get involved.
We’re incredibly proud to be collaborating with Viktoria and feel lucky to have her working alongside us. We’re already looking forward to her next visit.
For more details about Viktoria and her sessions, head over to her page and take a look.

What a wonderfully full and fun-packed Wednesday we’ve had … we might all need a lie down after that one.
We were delighted to welcome Viktoria from Unique-Corn, who led some fantastic exercises that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. If you’d like to see more, there’s a whole section dedicated to it on our page.
The excitement continued with our Easter Egg hunt, followed by some creative competition entries as everyone designed their own special egg. A big congratulations to Tracy, our very deserving winner of the giant egg.
There was plenty of dancing, singing and signing too, and Sam was so impressed by how much everyone has learnt and grown in confidence.
We currently have one space available for our Wednesday morning session, and we’re also launching a new Tuesday session with four places available. If you’d like more information, please get in touch with Sam.
We are also looking for some wonderful volunteers to join us on Tuesdays, so if you or someone you know might be interested, we would love to hear from you.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Viktoria and Unique-Corn and can’t wait to see her again tomorrow. 🤗

Freaky Friday brought the chaos in the best possible way… rascally rabbits and a full-on googly eye takeover!
Rabbits were popping up everywhere you looked, and the googly eyes? Let’s just say they multiplied at an alarming rate. No surface was safe, not even Sam’s tea mug, which became an unexpected masterpiece (much to her dismay).
The creativity was flowing as everyone got stuck into decorating their rabbits, with bows woven in here, there, and somehow… everywhere. Before we knew it, the bows had made their way into everyone’s hair too.
A special highlight for Sam was Brian’s rabbit, which truly raised the bar … decorated with an impressive number of googly eyes. The more, the better clearly!
We’re already looking ahead to more fun next week with Easter egg hunts on the horizon, and we’re excited to welcome Viktoria back on Wednesday for some energising and enjoyable exercises. You can find more details on her page. There’s a link on our page.
We’re also on the lookout for some wonderful volunteers to join our new group starting in May, running on Tuesdays. If you’d like to be part of our warm and welcoming community, please get in touch with Sam for more information.

Wednesday absolutely flew by in the best possible way. We welcomed two wonderful new faces who arrived with big smiles and even bigger laughter, instantly becoming part of the fun.

Creativity was in full swing as we made more tropical birds, while pom poms seemed to multiply before our eyes. We even managed to use up a few googly eyes… although, much to Sam’s confusion, the pot somehow looks fuller than ever. Karen did return from holiday today, so we’ll let you draw your own conclusions there.

The music was flowing all day long. There was singing, dancing, and more than a few spontaneous air guitar solos. And we’re now fairly convinced there’s a real monkey hiding inside Amy because her sound effects are unbelievably accurate.

It was one of those days full of energy, laughter, and moments that make you smile long after they’ve passed. If you’d like to see more, head over to our page where you’ll find plenty of videos of the music and dancing in action.

A quick update on sessions: Wednesdays and Fridays are now completely full, but we are taking names for Tuesdays with four spaces currently available. If you’d like to join us, or if you’re interested in volunteering, please get in touch with Sam. Expect plenty of laughter, good company, biscuits, drinks, and, if you’re lucky, a handful of spare googly eyes.
