Greens Funeral Services were honoured to support a truly unique and heartfelt farewell recently.

Every funeral arranged is completely bespoke, shaped around the personality of the person who has died and the wishes of the family and friends they leave behind. No two funerals are ever the same, and they do not have to take place in a church or crematorium — you can hold a service almost anywhere that feels right.

For Jim, the family chose a relaxed and meaningful setting; a local village hall filled with colour, music, and celebration. With this in mind, Ellie, our Funeral Director wore a floral bow on her hat, with her bearers wearing floral ties. John Ingram-Marriott, the celebrant, wore a bright pink jacket and guests were encouraged to wear something vibrant, all to reflect Jim's love of life.

Jim's beautifully vibrant, tie dye coffin was a perfect expression of his spirit, and the day was made even more special by the music of Scottish Bagpiper Piper McKay.

Jim was laid to rest at a local Natural Burial Ground, surrounded by nature and peace. Everything about the day honoured a life well lived — joyful, personal, and full of character.

In a moment that is often filled with sorrow, Jim's family have managed to capture something beautifully different; a celebration that feels authentic, warm and genuinely meaningful. Their willingness to share this video not only honours the memory of Jim, but also offers comfort and inspiration to others who may be navigating similar moments.

Janet’s family have asked for us to share these details to ensure that as many people as possible are informed of Janet’s passing and her forthcoming funeral arrangements.

MAYCOCK Janet Elizabeth “Tottie”

Janet Maycock from Witney, passed away on Tuesday 31st March 2026, aged 66 years.

Janet will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at North Oxfordshire Crematorium on Monday 27th April 2026 at 1.00pm. Family flowers only please. We are pleased to partner with our local florist "Beesley Blooms" and invite you to a hands-on flower workshop event, designed to bring local community together in a supportive and safe space, encouraging connection and creativity.

Congratulations Miranda! 🍫🥇

Greens Funeral Services are delighted to share with you the Winner of our Easter Chocolate Challenge. Miranda came into our Office today at 6 Mill Street, Eynsham to collect her prize which was £25.00, the basket of Cream Eggs and a Certificate.

Miranda has chosen Eynsham Food Bank as her Charity, and we will arrange for Miranda and Nick Tonks, Director of Greens Funeral Services to present them with a Cheque for £25 shortly.

A massive Congratulations to Miranda and our runners up, Jennifer Jewell and Lucy Ann. On behalf of the Team at Greens Funeral Services thank you to everyone who took part on Facebook and in person.
