Thank you for all the kind words, cards, and gifts I have received over the last few days.

It is truly humbling to see how many people our pharmacy team has helped over the last 17 years - I hope we have consistently provided a high level of care to everyone.

Friday 31st is my last day working in Airth Pharmacy.

I leave the pharmacy running very smoothly and wish the new owners, Stuart and Katrina, all the best in the coming years as the pharmacy continues to develop and grow.

To those who have worked behind the scenes over these years to help me do my job I will be forever in your debt.

Just a quick message to you all, on a personal note for a change.

I am retiring from Airth Pharmacy as the business is being sold to another pharmacy company - not a huge multiple.

Assuming the deal goes ahead as planned Friday the 31st of October will be my last working day in Airth Pharmacy. These things are normally kept pretty quiet but leaving without saying goodbye seemed like something I wouldn’t do.

I am confident the pharmacy will be left in good hands for its next chapter.

I’ve been here for over 17 years now and have enjoyed the kind of support from the community that I know most pharmacists would be jealous of. I hope you will continue to support our wee pharmacy and the good work it does.

The pharmacy will continue to operate as normal and further develop as time passes ( it WON’T close as a few people have asked me )

Current staff are all being retained and the only change is me leaving.

I can’t thank the folk I’ve worked with over these 17 years enough for their hard work - John Currie, Lynn, Elizabeth, Lisa, Marlyn, Deborah, Denise, Emily and especially the current team of Kenny, Abbie, Jennifer, Linda and Pamela.

They put up with more of my nonsense than anyone will ever know !

I know we’ve helped many of you in good and bad times and I hope we have given good service and advice to you all over these years.

The golf course, family time and more holidays are calling me, so time for the next bit of my life.

We have had confirmation that our Covid and Flu vaccination program will begin on Monday October 6th 2025.

Learning from last year we are trying to get AS MANY people vaccinated in October this year as practical - it reduces vaccine wastage and is much more efficient for us to vaccinate more people each day rather than one or two per day for many months

The program will run to at least the end of January but we always recommend early vaccination for more complete cover rather than getting it done in late December / January

Weather warning now upgraded to RED for our area - having worked through the last Red warning 7 years ago we taking it seriously - just in case !
