Depression manifests in various ways, including exhaustion, low moods, dissociation, an inability to feel emotions even during positive events, spiraling thoughts, insomnia, lack of motivation, and a sense of wading through treacle, among others. However, with recognition that this phase will pass and the implementation of adaptive changes, there comes a time when life begins to shift. Gradually, individuals may start to feel better, more alive, and more energized. If support is needed, reaching out for help can make a significant difference. "Don't stay stuck, get in touch".

I work with clients who suffer from Anxiety, they get caught in a cycle of faulty thinking—what I call “Stinking Thinking.” Truth is, we all experience it. Most of us can manage our thoughts, but for some, their thoughts begin to manage them.

When you break it down, thoughts are simply words strung together. But they don’t exist in isolation—we attach images (visual), sounds (auditory), and feelings (kinesthetic) to them. These sensory systems shape how we process the world. Some of us learn best by seeing slides and reading material, others by listening to a narrative, and some by feeling deeply—through empathy, gut instinct, or even absorbing others’ emotions.

Anxiety often stems from our internal dialogue—how we speak to ourselves. Do we catastrophize? Do we carry unresolved fears or beliefs? Once we begin to explore the why behind our anxiety, we can start to shift our thinking. Awareness is key: noticing where anxiety shows up in the body, being kinder to ourselves, and interrupting the cycle of self-criticism. That’s when recovery begins.

I support clients by equipping them with practical tools to manage and overcome anxiety. It’s important to remember: some anxiety is normal—it’s our body’s way of keeping us safe. But when it becomes overwhelming, it’s time to take action.

If you’re feeling stuck in anxious patterns, let’s work together to get you back on track—so you can feel better, think clearly, and live a more balanced life.

Why not get in touch? Your journey to calm starts here.

Ain't life strange, I was at a mental health/su***de awareness course today, and a girl sat down beside me, she was delighted when she saw my name, her mother's name was Mary-Jane and had not long passed, her name was Morag and my ex MILs name was Morag. The other ladies name was the same name as my aunty Jessie including the last name. Morag and myself had family who had died through su***de, and 1 person survived it was a tough course for us both, but we supported each other. Synchronicity at it's best! It's sometimes the people you meet on these courses.....

I'm getting a lot of clients suffering from anxiety just now.
Life has gotten way too busy, and the world is a scary place for people just now, so no wonder there is an increase in anxiety, lots of catastrophic thinking, and not being able to take time out, all add to the issue, summer starting to feel like a distant memory. It's a necessity to be able to switch off, the brain and body require it.
I look mega busy but I also have my time to relax. That's why a mix of therapies, such as...
Mindfulness - which helps reduce cortisol levels)
Emotional freedom therapy - helps release emotional blockages, reduce anxiety, and restore inner calm)
Hypnotherapy and positive reframing.
All give clients a toolbox of coping techniques to use, as and when they need them.
If you struggle with Anxiety, Stress, or Overthinking, or any other issues, why not get in touch?

🧠 When you replay regrets, you’re reinforcing the neural pathways of self-blame, guilt, or “what-if” scenarios.

The brain literally strengthens whatever you repeat.

That means dwelling on past mistakes doesn’t just waste time, it trains your brain to stay stuck in the same loop.

By focusing on the road ahead, you open a new neuroplasticity window.

This is how your brain rewires: it responds to the thoughts, choices, and actions you practice in the present.

Every forward-focused action sends a signal: this is the new pattern to strengthen.
