BREEN, Leanne
Redding

With heavy hearts, on behalf of her loving family, we announce the passing of Leanne Breen.

Leanne passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family's love, at Forth Valley Royal Hospital on Wednesday, 5th November 2025, aged 45 years. A much-loved wife to John, devoted mum to Jamie and Ethan, and to Jamie’s partner, Megan. Beloved daughter of Janice, sister-in-law to David, and daughter-in-law to Margaret and John. A cherished aunt to Evie and Alistair, and an amazing friend to many.

Leanne was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished daughter whose heart was always with her family. Her husband and boys were her entire world, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to them, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and care.

Family was at the very centre of Leanne’s life.
She had an incredible way of bringing everyone together, making sure that those around her felt loved, supported, and valued. Even the quiet nights in were made special simply by her just being there.

In her younger years, she enjoyed life to the fullest; she loved to celebrate, to laugh, and to share good times with her friends. That joy and warmth remained with her throughout her life. She had a spark that could light up any room, and to meet her, even for a short while, was to remember her always.

Leanne will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and her beautiful spirit. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to shine through her family and all those who were privileged to have shared her life.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A service of celebration for the life of Leanne will take place in Falkirk Crematorium on Wednesday, 19th November, at 3:15 pm.

Family and friends are welcome to attend.

Further service and donation details can be found on Leanne’s dedicated memorial page below:

We are deeply honoured to be entrusted with Leanne’s care and service arrangements. As always, our thoughts and love remain with all of Leanne’s family members and her many friends during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in eternal peace, Leanne đź©·đź©·

“Still in our hearts, she is living yet
We loved her too dearly to ever forget
Take care of her "god" while she rests
For she was our mother and one of the best.
A wife, a mother, a heart so full of love,
her spirit lives on in all she touched.”

SPIERS, John
Edinburgh

With heavy hearts, on behalf of his loving family, we announce the passing of John Spiers.

John passed away peacefully at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh on Monday, 3rd November 2025, aged 70 years. Beloved husband of the late Maggie, a loving father to Nikki, Tammy, Amanda, and John, cherished grandad to Bradley, Brandon, Conner, Cain, Emma, Rebecca, Liam, Ryan, Jaxon, Lennon, and Charlie, and a dearly loved great-grandad, brother, uncle, and loyal friend to many.

John’s family was the centre of his world. There was nothing he loved more than spending time with them, whether at a family gathering or a catch-up over a cuppa. He loved being surrounded by those who meant the most to him.

A devoted Hearts of Midlothian supporter, he followed his team through every high and low with true dedication and passion. Win, lose, or draw, his love for Hearts never wavered, and it was a huge part of who he was, which he shared proudly with his loved ones.

He deeply loved and missed his beloved Maggie. She was his soulmate, his greatest companion, and his constant source of strength. Since her passing, not a day has gone by that he hasn’t thought of and spoken of her. Now reunited, their love story continues, together again, forever at peace.

John’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him, and the love, laughter, and loyalty he shared so freely will be remembered forever.

A service of celebration for the life of John will take place in Warriston Crematorium on Thursday, 20th November, at 1 pm.

Family and friends are welcome to attend.

John was also a proud member and Past Master of the Forth True Defenders, lol 234, for over 40 years. As a mark of respect, John’s family have requested that those attending the service wear bright colours, and any Brothers or Sisters are welcome to wear their collarettes.
