MASSAGE FOR THE MIND
Hypnotherapy is quite often called a massage for the mind. It is a no hands on talking therapy with can be very relaxing. This is one of the reasons that 90% of adults and children we treat come to see us with issues such as stress, anxiety and depression. Normally around 3 sessions are required to get to yourself back to the way you want to feel. Sessions start at £80. The 1st sessions is 1.5 hours and subsequent sessions are 45-60 minutes. We can help you achieve dry January however if you are physically addicted to alcohol it is best that you visit your gp first. Your gp can give you some medication to help with some of the withdrawal symptoms below.

Lots of the kids I work with use chat GPT for mental health advice. This is not the way to go. Anyone working with mental health like myself and in particular paediatrics should have qualifications in working in this area. I have a Msters Degree in Psychology, Mental Health First Aid for children and young people, su***de Assist training, skills Scotland cert in working with self harming and su***de prevention in children and young people. COSCA Cert in counselling skills and COSCA Diploma in counselling Skills (year one). As you all know I also have a whole host of hypnotherapy qualifications, teach the National hypnotherapy qualification (the HPD). Teach peadiatric hypnotherapy as a 2 day CPD course.
This level of experience and qualifications surely is what we want to be pointing our children towards.

This is Lisa and she has been working at HMH Therapy for the past 3 years. Lisa is our paediatric hypnotherapist having completed additional training in working with kids and teens. She also works with adults too, especially in weight management, including the HypnoBand. Lisa works on a Tuesday in the clinic. At weekends she helps run our hypnotherapy training school, UK Academy Scotland. Watch out for our January HypnoBand promotion coming out very soon.

We would like to officially welcome Alexis to our Team at HMH Therapy. Alexis joined us in November and has been treating a large range of client issues such as anxiety, phobias, weight management and smoking cessation. The feedback from our clients has been fantastic heralding Alexis as warm, professional and empathetic. Alexis will be working in the clinic on a Wednesday and Friday from January. She is qualified to work with both adults and children.
