⨠TraumaâInformed Massage Isnât New Here â Itâs How Iâve Always Worked â¨
âTraumaâinformedâ might be trending, but this approach has been at the heart of my practice since the beginning.
For me, itâs never been a technique or a marketing angle â itâs simply the way I care for people.
Being traumaâinformed means I understand that I cannot release trauma that's stored in the body, remove memories of trauma, cure trauma, or replace coping strategies.
I donât pathologise your trauma responses.
I donât shame.
I donât judge.
Instead, I hold a safe, nurturing space where you can just be yourself â without pressure, without expectation, and without needing to explain your reactions.
Hereâs what that looks like in my treatment room:
𧥠Youâre in control
You choose what stays on, what areas we work on, the pressure, and the pace. You can pause or change anything at any time.
đ¤ Consent + boundaries respected at all times
Nothing happens without your clear, ongoing consent. Your boundaries guide the entire session.
đż Safety + predictability
The space is calm, steady, and free from pressure. My aim is to support your nervous system, not overwhelm it.
đŹ Clear, gentle communication
No surprises. I explain the treatment beforehand and welcome your feedback throughout.
đ Comfortâfocused adjustments
Pressure, temperature, bolstering, and positioning are adapted to what feels grounding and supportive for you.
đ¸ A gentle, listening approach
Rather than pushing into intensity, I work slowly and softly, allowing your body to unwind at its own pace.
This isnât a trend â itâs the foundation of how I care for every client who walks through my door.
