🎄 Getting into the Christmas Spirit! 🎄

Today our residents rolled up their sleeves and enjoyed making their very own Christmas biscuits, using our special festive cookie cutters — stars, trees, snowflakes and more! The home was filled with the most wonderful smells as everyone got creative (and a little bit floury! 😄).

Of course, no baking session is complete without a taste test, so we all sat down together and enjoyed the biscuits with our afternoon cuppa. ☕🍪

It was a lovely way to start the festive season and share some smiles. ❤️✨

🎄✨ Christmas has officially begun at Willow Tree Lodge! ✨🎄

This afternoon we kicked off the festive season in true Willow Tree style with our Christmas Light Switch-On!
And yes… the lights are now so bright you could probably see them from space (sorry, Santa 🚀🎅).

Residents and staff gathered together with Baileys, hot chocolate, mulled wine, mince pies, and plenty of giggles. The room was full of twinkling lights, warm mugs, festive cheer, and the kind of laughter that only Christmas can bring.

We even squeezed in a Christmas quiz, a few carols, and some enthusiastic (and occasionally questionable!) singing — because why do anything by halves? 🎤😄

Our residents absolutely love getting involved, sharing stories of Christmases gone by, and helping us all remember what makes this season truly special: joy, togetherness, and a sprinkle of magic. ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make today so wonderfully festive!

🦃🎉 What a week of celebrations we’ve had! 🎉🏴

Last Thursday our residents enjoyed a full Thanksgiving feast – and yes, the turkey was so delicious even the staff considered going back for “just one more plate”… purely for quality control, of course! 😉 The pumpkin pie that followed didn’t last long either!

Then on Sunday we switched from turkey to tartan as we celebrated St Andrew’s Day in style!
Our haggis sausage rolls went down a treat (some residents are now demanding they appear on the menu every week!), and the Scottish shortbread disappeared faster than you can say “Och aye!” 🥧🎶

We rounded off the day with singing, quizzes, sweet treats and plenty of games, with lots of laughter echoing down the corridors.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the week so special — our residents have danced, eaten and giggled their way through it! ❤️

🍹 Thirsty Thursday Fun! 🍹
With the chilly weather settling in outside, our residents kept warm and cosy indoors as we enjoyed Thirsty Thursday with a wee tipple! 🥂❄️✨

There was plenty of laughter, good company, and rosy cheeks all round. And to top off the afternoon, everyone got stuck into a friendly quiz, which brought out lots of teamwork, fun, and a few competitive smiles! 🧠😁

A perfect way to brighten a cold day. ❤️

**Location:** Willow Tree Lodge, Fareham
**Contract:** Part-Time
**Rota:** Two-weekly rolling rota, including alternate weekends

Are you a compassionate, reliable individual who is passionate about supporting others? We are looking for a dedicated **Care Assistant** to join our friendly team and help provide high-quality care to the people we support.

**✨ What You’ll Do**

* Provide personal care and support in a respectful, dignified manner
* Assist with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, meal preparation, and mobility
* Offer companionship and emotional support
* Promote independence and wellbeing
* Maintain clear and accurate records
* Work effectively as part of a committed care team

**🕒 Hours & Rota**

* Part-time position: **12–24 hours per week**
* **Two-weekly rolling rota** for consistent planning and work/life balance
* Includes **alternate weekend shifts**

**💙 What We’re Looking For**

* A caring and patient nature
* Good communication skills
* Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience in care is helpful but **not essential** — full training is provided
* Must be able to commit to the rota pattern
