We had great fun singing along with Lynsey this morning! 🎤💃 The room was filled with music, laughter, and plenty of happy faces. A big thank you to Lynsey for brightening our day with her wonderful voice and energy! 💕

🦅✨ A Truly Special Visit Today! ✨🦉

Our residents were absolutely thrilled to welcome some magnificent feathered guests this morning— three beautiful falcons and a stunning barn owl!

Everyone had the chance to get up close, ask questions, and learn all about these incredible birds of prey. The barn owl, with its soft white feathers and gentle nature, was a particular favourite! 💛

It was a wonderful experience that brought smiles, awe, and lots of lovely conversation. A huge thank you to the handlers for sharing their knowledge — and to our residents for their enthusiasm and curiosity!

Remembrance Sunday 🌺
This week, our residents came together to honour and remember the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for our freedom.

We watched the Remembrance service together, shared stories, and took a quiet moment of reflection. Residents laid poppies in tribute, and spent time creating beautiful remembrance-themed crafts — from painted rocks to handmade poppies — each one made with love and respect.

We will remember them. ❤️

🎄✨ Is it too early for mince pies and mulled wine? Never! 😋🍷
Our residents certainly thought so as we enjoyed our very first taste of the season today. The room was filled with laughter, festive tunes, and that unmistakable Christmas aroma — pure joy all round! ❤️🎶

Today after lunch, our residents enjoyed a delicious Baileys coffee – the perfect way to warm up and relax together. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and good conversation as we savoured every sip! ❤️

It’s the little moments like these that make our afternoons so special. 🥰

🌿 You’re Invited: Dementia Support Evening at Willow Tree Lodge 🌿
We’re delighted to invite you to a special evening here at Willow Tree Lodge, focused on support, advice, and services for people living with dementia and those who care for them.
🗓 Date: Tuesday 18th November 2025
🕕 Time: 6:00pm
📍 Location: Willow Tree Lodge Care Home
We’re pleased to welcome Mandy, Dementia Adviser from the Alzheimer’s Society, who will be joining us to share her knowledge, offer guidance, and answer any questions you may have.
If you’d prefer to ask something anonymously, please feel free to send your question to me beforehand — I’ll ensure it’s included during the session.

We’ll also be serving refreshments and a light meal of chilli, and we hope it will be a relaxed and friendly opportunity to learn, share experiences, and connect with others.

Please let us know by 10th November if you’ll be attending and mention any dietary requirements so we can make sure everyone is comfortable.
