🎉 Celebrating 9 wonderful years with Rhoda!

Rhoda is an absolutely fantastic Care Professional, and we’re so proud to celebrate her 9th anniversary with us. 💚

Many of you may recognise the little owl pin on her lanyard – a gift from her scheduler days, perfectly chosen because Rhoda loves waking and sleeping nights 🦉✨

And of course, no celebration would be complete without tea ☕️ Rhoda has very specific instructions for the perfect brew, so it felt only right to gift her one of our new branded mugs – which she was delighted with!

Did you know that memories from decades ago can sometimes be easier to access than what happened this morning?

That is why reminiscence therapy can be so powerful. Long term memories are often stored differently in the brain and can remain intact even when short term memory becomes unreliable.

What many people do not realise is that reminiscing is not about testing memory at all. It is about reducing pressure. A photograph, a familiar song or a shared story can help someone feel calmer, more confident and more able to communicate, often leading to richer conversations and better emotional wellbeing in the present.
