Hi, I'm Grace Levy and I am a fully qualified Integrative psychotherapist, specialising in relationships, abuse and trauma. My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgemental space to work through relational and traumatic issues my clients are facing or have faced, to reconnect them to the life they would like to live, and the relationships they want to have. I therefore combine various theoretical approaches, to address both past and present in a wholly relational way, to help bring clarity, peace and hope for the future.
Alongside my private practice at Reconnect, I am a psychotherapist for a charity who provide counselling to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, and their families. Prior to this I worked for 2 years at Portsmouth Abuse and R**e Counselling Service (PARCS).
Outside of my clinical work, I have an interest in the restorative properties of sound, which are believed to aid regulation of the autonomic nervous system. I therefore have a sound therapy qualification and am currently developing a new branch of therapy to combine CBT with restorative sound. I therefore hold one to one sound therapy sessions, as well as holistic group sound therapy for general wellbeing and corporate mental health days.
Before my Psychotherapy training and career, I coached women within the fashion industry. I therefore have a special understanding and interest in body image, socio-cultural gender stereotypes, feminism, and empowerment.
