I would like to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas, from my house, to yours. π π€Ά ππβ€οΈ
It's been a wonderful year this year, full of beautiful people, heartbreaking stories and more people than ever trained in Basic Life Support.
From Kim and I teaching Safeguarding to charities, to Karyn delivering Advanced First Aid across Hampshire and now moving into Dental Emergency Care in the New Year, together we have been fortunate enough to embed ourselves in so many lives.
The best news for the business this year is our new recruit, Abi. Some say she looks like me, some say she sounds like me, and some say she going to punch her way into medicine to save more lives than I could only dream of in my lifetime. Ambitions to become a nurse is her pathway onto greatness. If you have completed any of my first aid courses before, you will know my story of why I started this company in the first place, because this sweet, perfect little face sitting next to me nearly died at the age two, because of a complete obstruction in her airway. I had never completed any paediatric first aid when I had her, and I came incredibly close to losing her.
My heart constricts just thinking about it π
Abi has been attending various different courses with me this year, to help deliver the same message as me to anyone who will listen, and that is 'Doing Something Is Better Than Doing Nothing!'
I'm incredibly proud to have her teaching alongside me, stood next to me, standing tall, helping me deliver these courses. One Mum, huge smile, and feeling overwhelming proud.
Yesterday, we did our annual delivery of minced pies and chocolate biscuits to A&E to say thank you to the staff in the adult and paediatric wards for their services over Christmas π While we sit comfortably at home today, our public services, carers and emergency staff will be covering our communities as we fill ourselves with good food, Christmas gifts and friends and family.
Let's all hope next year is as productive and powerful as this year.
Best wishes to you over the holidays. Stay safe, be good and enjoy celebrating together β€οΈ
